Those cute little mice aren't so worthy of saving when they're in your cupboards eating your food. I've been happy to kill many of them.

    BB,

You are probably way too kind to do this but maybe one of your neighbors has a hungry cat you could introduce the mouse to.

For all the mouse lovers.... here's a little nature versus nurture:

I hope the mouse gets better. You'll have a very good feeling if it recovers and you can release it in your yard (not necessarily next to your house). I once found a small sparrow hopping around on the sidewalk after a cold snap in Chicago. It was chirping and active, but not able to fly. I picked it up and put it in a box with some shredded paper towels, along with some bread and a saucer of water. I put the box on my desk, and it went to sleep under the paper towels. After a couple of hours, it woke up, ate some bread and sipped some water, and slowly warmed up. Eventually, it started chirping loudly, so I took the box outside, removed the lid, and it flew away, apparantly all right. I felt absolutely wonderful.
