The Admiral who was suppose to marry her in #1, is an ass in #2 that she hates, and then suddenly she is kissing on him in #3 and mourning his death? Maybe it is good Orlando Bloom dies, he is married to a woman of serious emotional swings.

While I overall enjoyed the movie, I did find some of the plot very confusing. I couldn't figure out why Elizabeth was so annoyed at Will throughout much of it and I was very disappointed that they had him die at the end. I'm wondering if they'll leave it for a few years and then make another one? There certainly were alot of unanswered questions left in this one. And that would be a scream seeing Captain Jack Sparrow finding the Fountain of Youth.

I am a big fan of the "Pirates" movies, but found this one a little disappointing.

Special effects were great, some really beautiful scenes and locations. But the plots and subplots and twists and turns in the script left you scratching your head a little bit. There didn't seem to be good motivation for half of what happened. They just kind of dumped occurances in your lap with no real rhyme or reason. And then left stories dangling... like Kalypso and Jones... they just kind of 'fall' off the radar so to speak with no real resolution to their story.

I love the fantasy aspect of these movies... and will happily watch any decent special effects movie, but felt that as far as the writing on this one went it didn't seem very well thought out.

That being said, I'll definitely be buying this one when it comes out. I'm generally not an over-analyzer of movies... I just like to be entertained!

Loved it.
I watched it only once. I feel I didn't get the chance to absorb everything- so obviously I'll have to catch it a few more times.
Did anyone else stick around after the credits for the hidden scene?

lol, I hated that part. But I loved seeing several Captain Jack Sparrow's- his delusions alone on that ship had me laughing. I thought that was pretty funny.

I'm with you free2beme. I wasn't able to really put together why exactly a popcorn flick would go to the lenghts it did to develop a story so weak.
