I've been doing a major cleaning today, anything that hasn't been used or looked at for a while is getting tossed. One of the biggest things that needs to go is all our JW books and bound volumes. I've gotten rid of all the loose WT and Awakes quite a while ago.
Today when hubby came home from work, and saw the bags to go to the dump he was impressed! I told him I'd love to get rid of even more stuff - he said "go ahead". I asked him "are you sure? You don't care what I get rid of?"
At first he said no, but then asked just what else I wanted to get rid of. I told him we could get rid of a bunch of boxes under the stairs full of all our old JW books. He kinda looked at me funny. I asked him "are you ever going to look at them again? How long has it been since you've looked at any of them?" He kinda mumbled that he could get a CD if he needed to look up anything.
Me - Sooo, it's alright to throw them out?
Him - Um, can't you give them to somebody? The hall?
Me - Who would I know that would want them? We really don't know anybody in our hall anymore. Plus, anything that is over 10 years old is "old light" now anyways, you're not supposed to use them as reference anymore. When mom tried to give grandmas old books etc to the hall when she died, they didn't want them and told her to just throw them out.
Him - Ok, load up the truck and I'll get rid of them on Friday!
I tell ya, since I became a Jedi - things are lookin up!!
