Amnesty suggests they "forgive" some transgression and there is nothing to be forgiven for. We didn't do anything wrong by leaving. "Weak" is their concept, not mine. By leaving, we get stronger.
It would still be a no way for me...I don't and won't ever want to be considered a JW...EVER again. Too much bad memories..
Sort of like going into a house full of horrible memories that can't be erased. The house is "haunted", tainted, ruined...even if someone else moved in and fixed it up in a different manner, it's still the "house" that is never going to be right.
Sh*t is sh*t. R*ght?
Why go back at all? They will never, ever change.
How's this? If you could simply remain a "Jehovah's Witness" and be like a typical Catholic----one that doesn't believe everything and no sanctions are taken against the person-----would you remain a JW?
Then there would have to be major reform in the religion.
The Jehovah's Witnesses that we were a part of would no longer exist, just as the Catholic Church of the days of heresy trials and inquisitions no longer exists.
Even then it would take decades. Generations would come and go before the old ways and practices were completely purged...and we'd all be dead by then.
But, for the sake of pretending, let's say there was a major revolt, the GB was ousted, a new leader or group of leaders took over, did away with DFing, shunning, the blood doctrine and vowed to work with authorities and governments to oust child molesters...
I still wouldn't go back. For one, I'm done with all organized religion. It's all a scam. So whether the GB is in charge or some other charlatan, it's still all bollucks. Number two, the fact that the bOrganization was overthrown and changes were made proves that it wasn't God's earthly organization. What would be the point in going back to this new version of the same old thing minus some of the more dastardly beliefs/practices?
No way! That would be like a dog returning to his VOMIT right?
I was 'In' because I thought they taught the 'Truth' - I now know they don't - "Truth" is still not taught there - NOPE!
Would a faithful mate take one back who was still pokin' the neighbor guy?

Minimus- Have you recently seen your shadow or something? Are you having doubts about leaving? Just curious about opinions of others? I second everybodies comment. A resounding NO!! Peace to you, Mr. Flipper
No, I don't think I could, knowing what I know now.
