Apostates Why Do You Insist On Persecuting Us?

The WTS is a very hard line organisation with some very extreme ideas which often cause serious harm so their members should be informed about it. The fact that their leaders do not come out to argue their case in the open creates a need to do such things,ie put info in their faces, in the hope that they will explain themselves properly rather than just say mechanically "apostates" are wrong and evil.

I recall attending the District Assemblies when I was a kid and there always being people outside with tracts and my parents called them "The Evil Slave Class. They were always at the major assemblies.
Sure, I remember them. They usually stood quietly outside the assemblies and handed out leaflets and such. There were several of them at the 1969 convention in NYC; I came home with a collection of apostate info. Too bad I didn't give it more credence; I might not have spent 30 years in the borg. I also was at Tiger Stadium for the 1973 International Convention, but I don't specifically recall seeing any evil slavers there...

yes I remember the "evil slaves" outside the conventions. Didn't have any effect on us, rather than a little thrill to see the devil's operatives right there in front of us. I think it didn't have much more of an effect on the public - which is why I don't think protesting outside the conventions or halls accomplishes much. But distributing factual information door to door - what a good idea! Way to go!!!

Oh, and to all JWs out there moaning about being persecuted. Piss off!!! If you leave me alone I'll leave you alone, quit coming to my door dammit. I asked to be put on the do not call list; the next step is to document the harassment and find a lawyer.

Yes, I recall assemblies and conventions where apostates were outside with signs and attempting to hand out leaflets. They accomplished little if anything to promote their agenda. In fact they just reinforced the WT's notion of apostates being "kooks".
I understand their desire to help others see the real truth, but those tactics were, IMO, counterproductive. We all come to terms with the borg's flaws in our own way and time. As witnesses we were so indoctinated to fear and abhor apoatates that any attempt by them to contact us was repulsive and scary.
I'ts best to let people figure out the fatal flaws of the society on their own. They are there, and anyone who gives their brain a chance to think will see the reaL truth.

I would understand your complaint if xJWs did prevent JWs from expressing their positions. That's not the case, at least in western countries, BUT, it is rather all the way around : the WTS sets a lead lid upon congregations which results in a general distrust of JWs toward one another, a total lack of sincerity and freedom to express oneself feely about theocratic matters, for fear of being turned in to elders, being reproved for "independent thinking" (YOU, WTS, name it and in doing so you acknoledge the lack of feedom !) and all the rest of it. This sword of Damocles upon the JWs is nearer to persecution than what xJWs may do to expose the actual nature of the WTS, namely a totalitarian enterprise.

That's right why do they not apply what the Bible says to them that they should examine all things and accept only what is good? If they do that they will be thrown out. Telling them that they are wrong on some issues is not persecution otherwise they are persecuting everyone else and especially the Catholics.
