I'm pretty sure Minimus hasn't gotten to this one yet...

I'm curious about how much YOU tip for various services. What is your usual tip percentage for:

    1. Full table service at a restaurant?

    2. Counter service at a restaurant?

    3. The pizza (or other) delivery guy?

    4. Furniture delivery, unpacking and placement?

    5. Barber?

    6. Any other situation I didn't think of.

I always leave the latest issue of the WT or AWAKE or perhaps a tract.

15-20% actually unless the person needs a tip to get a different job..........

I don't know about the USA and Canada but here in Europe at restaurants a service charge of around 15% is included in the bill and that is for the waiters so there is no need to leave tips as such. Whether they are given to waiters or not by the management is not our problem.

Otherwise I give the hairdresser one pound but taxi drivers never give them a cent because they always rip people off.

    I forgot the lovely bartenders--$1 a drink

You reminded me of jobs I did as a teenager, running party/carnival stuff at homes of the wealthy: we always were tipped $100 each. I can't tell you how much that money was appreciated!

Maybe minimus didn't ask because he doesn't believe in tipping....

I'm curious about how much YOU tip for various services. What is your usual tip percentage for:

    1. Full table service at a restaurant? minimum 15%, but often 20% or more for excellent service

    2. Counter service at a restaurant? 15%

    3. The pizza (or other) delivery guy? 15% - however the last time I ordered with the people from work, my spanakopita was not included even though I paid my share. When we called to find out where my portion of the order was, they insisted that it was included and refused to re-deliver my order. The guy got an extra $8 tip and I got a big fat goose egg. We won't be ordering from them again.

    4. Furniture delivery, unpacking and placement? It's been so long since we had this done I can't remember.

    5. Barber? 15% for my hair stylist.

    2. Counter service at a restaurant? I may not know what you are talking about here. Are you talking about McDonalds, KFC?

At a resturant - 20% minimum, unless the service is really poor quality.

Over the counter? Usually nothing. At bars, $1 every few rounds, depending.

Delivery? Tonight it was $2 on a $12 order, so about 20%.

My stylist? She owns the salon, so it should be nothing, but I still tip her $2 on my haircuts.
