I got my issue yesterday. They have a nice time line about the WBTS and Jehovah's Witnesses. Pictures of Russell, Rutherford, Beth Sarim, Fred and Ray Franz. It talks about false doctrine, the extraordinary control and micro management of members lives. And the traumatic experience of leaving a cult.

Why limit yourselves to the opinions of yet another organization of people just like you and I?
Doesn't the NT suggest that you can find all you need in Christ himself?
Just be careful.
I'd hate to see an ex-JW go running into the arms of another cult, as if on some religious rebound.

Uh ok, being that I am a Christian I take no offense to your opinion but I did not bring this to the board to tout another cult. I brought it to the board because of the article about the Watchtower society. I understand the history behind this mag and accept it but I in no way am a part of that organisation I only read the mag take from it what I want and them promptly throw it away.

Yeah, I'm actually pretty surprised by the reaction of those on this board. The World Wide Church of God is no longer a cult. I don't even think the 'plain truth' magazine is even still affiliated with the reformed WWCG. YOU HAVE THE INTERNET PEOPLE, CHECK IT OUT!

Just to repeat - Plain Truth in the UK are members of the Evangelical Alliance - along with Anglicans, Baptists, URC, Methodists etc. PT magazine is fine.
The reformed group (holding to original WCG doctrine) now have a mag called 'The Real Truth' (link in my previous post). Compare the two mags and the difference will be immediately apparent.
