Before you realised you were in one.....
Did you picture pale sickly people in robes who had all their members living in villages? Or was your 'mental picture' a little more "human?"
How does that image compare to now?

i looked at cults disgusted. and cults were for me almost anyone but the JWs. mormons, 7th day adventists and of course scientology.
i was so glad that jehovah had saved me from this crazy world. its hard to accept that i wasnt saved but neck-deep in it. -

I thought cults were like Hare-Krishna's, or people who followed a man that forced them to live in a isolated community. When I started researching Brooklyn, I was shocked at all the things I found, not thinking about cults at all. Then something I read got me thinking, so I read some articles about cults. The more I read it hit me, I was really in a cult! OMG!

Once I found out I realised we weren't even in an exciting cult....other cults were running around fires in the nude,taking drugs,having sex with virgins while drinking the blood of penguins.....we were singing .."from house to house from door to door" and giving talks to 3 old people in room 2......it was that bad I could hear the clock ticking...and it was a digital clock!!!
