Where are you right now? What do you do all day?? Do you post from work??

  Right now I am listening to music I recorded and am answering your post. I dont post from work. I work midnights at a jail. I sleep 8 till 1 or 2 go to the gym for an hour come home make dinner and look at the computer. I am previewing songs to sing in my band whether I can sing them and whether we can play them. When I am at work at night I can only use the computer for state business.

  What I do a good part of the day is sleep, so in my case I think you mean what do I do all night.

  I walk thru the jail and make sure everyone is alive. I also go pick up prisoners book them strip search and shower them. Frisk them. Give them the appropriate color clothes we have 4 housing units which all wear different color uniforms. I take them to the hospital. Write reports. Also I am the defensive tactics trainer for the facility. I teach new recruits how to defend themselves and refresh all officers 8 hours a year.

  Then in the morning we line the inmates up and take them to the caferia at which point I am usually relieved and go home at 0700.

  I am posting from my laptop at university. I just wrote a 3 hour final exam and i don't have my next class for 2 hours, not that it stops me from posting in class as I multitask very well. I do not post from work because the computer is business use only and monitored, as well as the fact that I have too many other responsibilities. Sometimes I post from home in the evenings but I am more interested in playing bass guitar or computer games and cuddling with my boyfriend than I am browsing the forums.

  Nice. I'm recording drum tracks for both bands I play in at the moment. Mics, cables and machines that go "ping" all over the basement. And a drum machine (click track source) that loses MIDI sync with the PC, sometimes; most annoying.

  Cool. Me, I like stock Fender Jazz and Ghost Recon & Battlefield 2 online. Don't care much for boyfriends, though,.....lmao

  I'm at work but I own my own business so no one is looking over my shoulder. I check into JWD forum pretty often during the day, probably waste too much time, but I enjoy it. I run a vocational school, spend the day on the computer or talking to students or teachers. I can't believed I never found the forum before last December - how did I live without it (and the internet which I luuuuuuv)

  I work in a laboratory by day, and I have my laptop with me almost everyday ( for making spreadsheets and sending work emails, of course).

  I read a lot more than I post know, I like being like God- knowing everything but not really interfering.

  By night I'm at the piercing shop, so depending on client traffic and hijinks, I may or may not post while there- as any spare time is usually burned up on myspace, facebook, IAM, and AIM.

  so someone just came in and asked me what I was laughing about. I said I had read something funny on the ex-JW forum and he got a funny look on his face. He asked me to repeat what I said - because he heard it as a "sex-JW" forum! Another laugh for the day.

  Like many others I read a lot more than I post, lots of times I write out a post but delete it because it just sounds like bullshit.

  I usuall post from work, I'm a nurse (Radiology nurse), I see 4 patients in the morning and 4 in the afternoon and in between I'm on JWD : ) I hate not having my smiley's

  Right now I'm posting from home for the first time!!! I have an old operating system right now and can't use my smiley faces and I'm a little bummed.

  I post from home. Usually late night or daytime on the weekends. I work for a telecommunications corporation. I am a Revenue recovery rep. This is really boring and I never get to tell anyone about it because they fall asleep halfway through...Today, I will try it out on you.

  I find where orders that my coworkers have written out for the engineers to put in DS1's, DS3's Sonet Rings, DSL, Voip, (basically any kind of Circuit) and try to make sure that it is billing correctly and working right. I work a regular reps job backwards and without engineer training so I am in an oddball position to be in. (troubleshooter) I used to be really good at what I do, but when in the last year I was moved from my other boss and into another area of the building and another area of work, I have become totally lost seeing I have been switched from one area to another...to yet another and back again and again. Pacific region, Southwest Region and Southern New England Region.

  They all do basically the same thing but...

  THEY USE DIFFERENT SYSTEMS.

  So each Area uses about 5 to 8 systems and has different function keys for each system used. Within each system there can be hundreds of different pages and in each area the rules for the freaking function keys change on each page. They all have different rules and regulations as far as legals go and top it all off they all have different codes for each area. Each page can have hundreds of codes and to take it a step further.......

  Each service provided is only provided with certian stipulations if and when and thus and such for when the moon is full and the page is a certian way and the powers that be decide not to jack with the systems......

  SO....this last year when my job duty changed, they not only changed my duty, but changed my area, level of service, all databases used and provided no training. They did this to me at least four times. So lately I have a boss that seems to know this does not work, but seeing I am still in this new job duty and not in my "normal" area of expertise, nor my normal region of comfort and training....She has stuck me on stupid busy work and basically leaves me to rot. There is no training in the future and none on the horizon.

  So the area I know and have over 1000 hours of training for I utilize NONE.

  The area I am lost and have not a freaking clue on and my job depends on me doing, doing it right and knowing it....I work 40 hours a week and with the option of pumping out the busy work and wowing them with astronomical numbers of the piddly nothing I am doing BUT doing it correct...

  COMPARED to flying by the seat of my pants and trying to learn the equivelant of the Greek Language Backwards and Transcribe it to a Rocket scientist with the tools and training of a 'wee tot' and a crayola ON MY OWN INITIATIVE and NO TRAINING. I have opted to do the boobs job. For the last 6 months when I took the initiative and did what was told and tried to learn as I guess they just expected...I was written up as though I had ACTUALLY had training. Getting written up means you could get fired in a Union environment.

  I hate sitting still and lately at work until all the trouble flies over...I am going to do just that. If they want a paid boob, I can do that for a bit. I will take the check and go home till I get out of the hot seat. It so sucks to go from knowing most everything and being the subject matter expert to knowing NOTHING and having to shut up to keep your job.

  Anyhow. I post from home because well you can imagine what happens if I were to do it from work...

  I'de be standing on a corner with a huge sign that said "Boob for hire!"
