They just dont know when or how to stop.
"The Bible does not supply a precise answer."
Same goes for their ridiculous 1914, 1918, 1919 dates. Those dates are hardly "precisely" found in the bible.
Idiots.
There's 7 bullet questions on the page and the Watch Tower says "We don't know!" on three of them.
1935? We don't know!
Codex? We don't know!
Holy spirit sin? We don't know!
These seem like rather ambiguous answers for a "spirit directed organization".
If they answered truthfully, here's how they would have answered some of these questions.
When Jepthah made his vow, was he prepared to offer up his daughter as a burnt offering to God?
We'd like to say "NO", because saying "YES" would make the Israelites appear to be heathen people who offered their children in fire sacrifices, and that their tribal God Jehovah actually accepted such sacrifices. So even though the text says Jepthah's daughter was a "burnt offering", we say NO. It would make Jehovah look mean-spirited.
What is meant by sinning against the holy spirit?
Since we teach that you can only get holy spirit in association with God's true organization, sinning against the holy spirit means upsetting the organization and/or upsetting its appointed representatives here on earth. Don't piss off the elders or circuit overseer!
Since he had earlier dealings with David, why did King Saul ask whose son David was?
Becaise the Bible writer who was concocting these fables couldn't keep track of all the connections he was making. Kind of like when your Watchtower conductor calls on you but can't remember your name (or calls you by your maiden name).
Gopher, that was hilarious
I love the arrogant ease with which 1935 is mentioned in the same breath as scripture. Talk about inflation of interpetation to the level of Holy Writ.
Funny how things just "change" suddenly and no one seems to notice or care to.

In 1935 attendance worldwide at the Memorial observance of Jesus’ death was 32,795. Of these, 27,006 partook of the emblems as being the remaining ones on earth of the 144,000, whose hope is heavenly. Later in that same year, the identity of the great crowd flashed clearly into view. These meek persons, who look forward to life eternal on a paradise earth, also exercise faith in Jesus’ shed blood; they come to Jehovah in dedication, submit to baptism, and serve God zealously with the happy prospect of passing alive through "the great tribulation." At the Memorial of 1987, attendance was 8,965,221, with only 8,808 partakers. This indicates that millions today either are of the great crowd or are interested in becoming of that number. Will you be "able to stand" as one of these during ‘the great day of the wrath of Jehovah and of the Lamb’? It means your survival to take steps to that end.—Revelation 6:15-17; 7:14-17.Watchtower 1984 12/15 pg.10
There are many more references, but I don't care to look them all up. Just proves that the "food" they feed their mindless "sheep" with is nothing more than a pile of s#*t!
"The Bible does not supply a precise answer"
Ya.....That sentence could be used for most of their crazy doctrines, like:
The list is endless........
excellent thread.
in my surroundings almost NOONE noticed the change. for the most of them the teaching didnt change - it was always this way. if it all its only better explained now. LOL :-D
are apostates the only ones who actually CARE for the teachings?
