If we were what Jehovah used to get the "life saving message" out, FORGET IT!
Did You Take Your "Ministry" Seriously?

I took my ministry seriously from 1974 to Jan 1 1976. I pioneered and gave up going to school and lived a Christian life for that 2 years of delusionment. So, I dont know how much credit, I will get in the end for 2 years service. Of course, I dont know who is giving the credit, either. I kick myself for being so gullible. They operate on the premise that their is a sucker born every minute, and I had my minute. I say that out of confusion and anger. I think back in 75, there were a lot of sincere people. And it's possible they are sincere today. But, you see how far sincerity gets you, especially if your sincerely wrong.

There was a time when I did take it seriously.
However, you can only deceive people for so long; and it got harder and harder to do.

Yep for years ,studied with lots including a circle of junkies and drug suppliers, two even got baptised ,but as time wore on I would puzzle how so many hypocritical nutters had such a successful ministry for little work input when my wife and I worked so hard to make our ministry successful.
It left me with questions like " why would Jehovah bless ones who were crappy people and yet I saw others who were lovely kind humble people who went out week after week with little result."

Hi Min There has been a change. Only Elders are considered Ministers, the rest have "ministries". I've been pioneering for the last two months. I have never shown up for the car groups and always turn in my 63 1/2. I count time watching porn, chatting here, working, etc. Pioneering is great!

Did you make sure that you accurately kept your house-to-house records up to date?
Never in all my years have I filled out any those things!
Did you make sure you were back in a timely fashion once you placed literature?
Placing literature? What does that mean?
Did you follow through with making return visits to cultivate them into bible studies?
Nope. Those "return visits" on my field service report were fake.

I think I pulled the bible out maybe twice in 15 years of bible bashing. Hide the watchtower and present the awake was my gig. Short presentation is a good presentation I thought.

I HATED field service!!! I mean HATED it. I did it for several years, always feeling guilty about not doing more. I never lied on my field service slip; I was afraid Jehovah would strike me down with lightning or something if I lied on my time. I dreaded it immensely. I couldn't wait until the car driver would say "Anyone ready for a break?" But in our congregation, we didn't take a lot of breaks unless it was really cold outside. We did service by the book: we'd get a territory card, go park in the area, split off into pairs, and take every blasted door until it was time to go back to the hall. The hours dragged by like days.
Oh man, I HATED field service. I think I need a drink now.
