  I hear ya 38 years!

  I remember studying that tripe!! Never made any sense to me. What a fabrication. Thanks for posting that link. They stretched things to fit their doctrines. I would always come away from those studies w/such a headache.

  yep.... sometimes we get a "feeling" that something isn't right, but we don't act on it right away.

  Oh yeah! Those hours meant everything to many. I just got so sick of hearing as a pioneer, "How are you doing with your hours?" After a while I just said, "Isn't this supposed to be for Jehovah and not for men?" They didn't like hearing that.

  Yeah.....those terrible worldly people!! This is such cult mentality. Us against them.

  choosing life

  Sounds like they got to you about the same time they got to me. I was pregnant with my first child and feeling the insecurity that major changes bring into your life. It was that little blue book that they left with me too. I read the entire book one afternoon and liked some of the things I read- no hellfire, paradise, never having to die, not going to war, etc.

  When my husband and I started studying with a young couple our age, the love bombing started. The red flags started appearing also. The blood issue seemed to be based on flimsy logic and a few select scriptures. They convinced me it would never happen probably in my life, so why worry about it?

  A lot of other doctrines were never even mentioned in the Bible such as holidays and smoking. More red flags ignored. I also wonder what life would have been like if this 30 year interuption would have never taken place. I do have good relationships with all of my grown children and I am thankful for that. I hope some day they will see the light or more correctly, the red flags they have been ignoring.

  That is something choosing life! We have many things in common. Yes, I also read the Truth book through quickly and then put it aside.

  I was in for 21 years and we're all out now. The kids (all adults now w/their own families) are fine. But there are always after shocks that rear their ugly heads.

  I think we ignore the read flags because of the mind control but I also think it's because we want it to be true. It's hard to believe that so many people can be misled and that an organisation can be so evil. Sometimes it makes cry...

  must be that hot cajun food down there guy! Sister Anna was very meek and soft spoken. We had other ones that cracked the whip. Especially at the literature counter.... my husband (who has a way w/the women) would just humor them along. No comments bronzefist. LMAO!!
