Congratulations Snakes! I'm sure you are enjoying all your extra time without going soliciting door to door.

I didn't get an invite for the DC. But I got my personal copy of the False Religion tract in the mail. I'm glad so much effort was put into saving my life!

A few years ago, we visited some friends in another town. Their congo didn't have enough publishers to effectively cover all their territory, so what they did was to knock once. If no one answered, they put a bible study (Would You Like to Know More about the Bible?) tract in the door and went on. They wouldn't write that house down to try again later. If someone did answer, they immediately tried to place the magazines and start a bible study. We covered a lot more houses that way, and the territory was turned in faster by not trying to go back to houses where no one was home the first time.

I had a regular pioneer buddy while I was a JW that I loved doing field service with. He would prop a Watchtower up in his windshield and we would just spend the morning driving to the top of a hill, putting the car in neutral and timing how fast we could coast to the bottom over and over till break time.

oh I can't believe how lame I am. I went in service with pioneers who timed our breaks - no more than ten minutes - and who were extremely diligent about return visits to not-at-homes because our territory was so tiny, and we had so many publishers, that is what we had to do. Oh how I wish I had found a pioneer partner like you all - I hated field service with all my heart.

    I remember a good one!

I knew of Pioneer sisters in Florida who would go to the beach and work on their tans. On the corner of their beach towel they would put some of the magazines, and if someone asked about them they would give them some. They counted the entire time at the beach as service time.

    What a great gig!

    JK
