Bravo for the way you confronted that elder, I hope he will really think about what you said to him and decide to wake up!

THese guys know what they are doing, and they know what they are doing is wrong! Hopefully he will wake up and put a little pressure on the rest of the elder body to do a little more investigating. But don't hold your breath. I think you did a great job, you can vent here anytime!! WE look forward to hopefully meeting your wife oneday. TIll then giv her a hug and let her know we care.

Thank you for all your loving comments and I will pass them onto my wife. I love her so much and respect her deep courage ,I'm the lucky one to have her as my best friend. We will continue to fight them for her dignity.

One other thing I did'nt mention was in the conversation with the elder, I put his and the WTS situation like this "My wife and I have done all we can humanly to protect other family members children by reporting the father to you as a body and the WTS ,and to the police to end the atrocity....but now our hands are clean of blood WHAT ABOUT YOU AND THE GOVERNING BODY ,HAVE YOU DONE ALL YOU CAN TO PROTECT THE CHILDREN, WHY YOU DID'NT INVESTIGATE BY QUESTIONING ONE MEMBER OF THE FAMILY EXCEPT THE PERPETRATOR - YOUR HANDS ARE COVERED IN BLOOD , WHAT DO YOU SAY TO THAT?" he then left ,I just looked at how small and insignicant the elder and his WTS really is.

Quandry - I know this might be hard to get a handle on but it is common for some mothers to proxy their daughters ,and her mother is a very strong dominant person ,and in keeping with this she has no heart and has managed to silence her daughters till now ,and don't forget that the deafening silence of the WTS over matters like this only serves to silence the children who don't have the decency or courage to stand up to the parents - bear in mind though we are talking about them being adults now B/t the ages of 30-45 and they have taken the WTS course of hiding the truth,that's what most of them are hiding behind.....I guess they are like whitewashed graves.

Wow, wozadummy, you did well. 5 abuse cases that this elder knows about. Sounds like a lot in such a small area. I think I could add a couple more to that tally.

I think the others who have been abused and are hiding it would be doing this because of shame and fear of consequences. If they are being interviewed by the police and others, they may be getting the courage to start speaking out. With the mother being a strong person, she is as guilty as the dad, I'd say. She should have been there to protect her daughters and give him a swift kick straight out of the house into the justice system. Jail doesn't deal kindly with child abusers.

The elders are speaking to you now, knowing you have gone to the police. They are scared that they will be exposed (as not doing anything when they should have). And hopefully they will be. It will be interesting to see whether they now start to take action against the father.

I congratulate you on your ability to emotionally support and encourage your wife, and the zealousness and ferocity with which you protected her against that elder. I also congratulate her on her seemingly endless well of strength and courage to stand strong against forces and conditioning that must seem insurmountable: the Society and her family. Luckily, she has you to help her!
