Because if we speak to them we will find out the truth and the WT can't have you find out any other version of the truth but their own. Their truth isn't able to stand up to scrutiny.

I thought I "left Jehovah". I don't take it personally that He doesn't talk to me because He doesn't talk to anyone, including the old farts in Brooklyn.

'By your actions, you left us'....that's the phrase a JW will use to justify THEIR shunning. They like to turn it around and say that it's you by your actions that cause the end of association - it's never them. Interestingly enough, how many family members will then end that phrase with ' you know how much we love you and we only want you back'....hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm...sure. sammieswife.
