It is just one more thing to use to backlash against the Puketower Society. A cross is just another shape, and if I feel like wearing one, I will. But not for the religious significance: I would have to like the cross itself and not what it stands for. As for taking offense on seeing one, I no longer do that nor view anyone who wears a cross as being intrinsically evil for that like the Puketower had me doing.
How do you view crosses now?

Just a side point, whoever put up http://www.sixscreensofthewatchtower.com/1torturestake2.html needs to remove the reference to Mark 15:27....he or she has misconstrued the Greek...

I feel it is a personal choice about the cross.
However, whenever I enter a shop that is bombarded with crosses, I get a strange upsetting feeling and have to leave the store ASAP. It is weird.

When I was in 1st grade......my school principal had a paddle mounted on his wall from the fifties. Mind you this was around 1975-76....I pretty much equate the cross with that.....an antiquated tool for pounding the crap out of you without a fair trial. THE symbol of guilt for millions through the generations. ingenious.I just hope something that evil/powerfull is never unleashed on mass humanity again.

To me, it is a pagan symbol borrowed by the church to represent the way their savior died
I'm with bigdreaux, I think it's weird that people revere a symbol of pain and death.
I agree that it is like a family member dying for you and you wear or idolize whatever weapon or object that killed them. Sure, I guess that's the society's stance, but that's one of the only beliefs I agree with it.

I have observed that many people wear crosses that have no religious identity...........
I personally don't find the image appealing to wear the instrument of Jesus' death..........
It takes more than wearing a cross to identify a person as a Christian.............
jws use the symbol of the watchtower and the tetragrammaton as jewelry and I found that just as disturbing.
But I don't interfere with another's desire to wear one or judge them as inferior.

I think of it as more of a design, or shape. I have some very ornate letter "t"s though out my house.

I came across this poem.
I CARRY A CROSS
I carry a cross in my pocket
A simple reminder to me
Of the fact that I am a Christian
No matter where I may beThe little cross is not magic
Nor is it a good luck charm
It isn’t meant to protect me
From any physical harmIts not for identification
For all the world to see
It’s simply an understanding
Between my saviour and meWhen I put my hand in my pocket
To bring out a coin or key
The cross is there to remind me
Of the price He paid for meIt reminds me, too, to be thankful
For my blessings day by day
And to strive to serve Him better
In all that I do and sayIt’s also a daily reminder
Of peace and comfort I share
With all who know my Master
And give themselves to His careSo I carry a cross in my pocket
Reminding no one but me
That Jesus Christ is Lord of my life
If only I’ll let Him be“If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit"

The only cross I have was given to me by a friend that has since died. It is on a set of rosary beads and I do have it on display in a cabinet in my living room. I wouldn't wear one and I wouldn't even have one if it wasn't for the gift my friend gave me a few years ago. I do wear a gold pendant with praying hands on the front of it and the serenity prayer embossed on the back of it.
It doesn't bother me that other people wear crosses, it's just not my style.
