I find them creepy and don't necessiarly want one until I go to a Punk show then I want a huge black rosary ala 80's Madonna to wear with my outfit. I do not own one though.
How do you view crosses now?

So how does Renee feel?
I wear a cross around my neck just about every day. Its there because I feel like if I'm in public and I'm wearing it, its more pressure to act like a Christian. I am not saying that I am tempted to act like a fool all of the time -- But it reminds me to show courtesy and to be considerate even when I don't feel like it. I have one on my front door too for about the same purpose.
I didn't spell "athiest" wrong on purpose.
I was just curious if any of you still had the same feelings about them like we did while we were JWs.

Hi Aniron,
Liked the poem,
I will say amen to that .
The symbol of the cross is unique in the fact that death by crucifixion was uniquely cruel especially when that person was totally innocent and lived his human existence in furtherance of eliminating mankinds suffering If Jesus had been killed by other methods such as the guillotine I am sure other objects would have come to be used as a reminder of the events.I would wear a picture of a wooden post,a blindfold and rifle if that was the execution method used by the Romans. Remember when the symbol of the cross came into existence most people couldn't read or write.
The Borg leadership miss the point completely .They are hardly experts at promoting a decent symbol -- A watchtower for goodness sake,a symbol of a prison camp if ever I saw one.
Personally I like the Celtic Cross but that's just my preferred choice because of it's roots as a christian sign.

As a solar-phallic symbol, I have no problems with it at all. It symbolizes generation and regeneration... birth, life, death, rebirth...

Hey Big D, I only meant that Nikki said the same thing you did, that why not wear a gun around your neck. Sorry I didn't get back to you sooner, Family drama

Hi Reneeisorym,
What has the evil Dracula and the evil Borg got in common:? Easy question.
They are both mortified by the crucifix and have a serious issue with blood.
I keep thinking of others .They have a problem with light and are both bats. They like to mesmerize their victims into submission. Can't think of any more just now.

They both suck the life out of their victims.

Hi Philip,
I was thinking of Watchtower blood suckers but didn't know how to fit it in,I guess your comment just about fits the bill.
Thanks for that.I'm sure there must be more.

I like them. I have one on a necklace around my neck, a wooden cross next to the front door of my house, and a rather pretty stonelike cross hanging over my bed. Oh and I also have a rosary that I carry in my purse.

Seems unsafe to wear a chain around your neck
Or maybe I'm paranoid.
