Why let the Bible be assembled by Catholics, Jews and Protestants???
Witnesses do not say God gave them the privilege of canonizing the scriptures or having anything to do with His Word. He entrusted the responsibilities to others that according to JW belief are deserving of destruction.....Please explain.
Hey Minimus! I can't explain, but I can tell you it is one of the reasons that I left. God preserved the bible for centuries and only now does he reveal anything to just the JW's? I don't think so. There are so many truthful, honest loving people who are doing their best to serve God and love each other, they can't be evil!!! Many times I thought how much greater their faith and love was than mine. That bothered me, and intrigued me. My experiences in field service also plagued me. I had so MANY passionate and knowledgeable people at the door that I talked with, especially as a young pioneer. Those conversations struck a nerve and waited for years to be annalized (sp?) and appreciated. People I never talked to again, profoundly affected my life with their testimonies and personal thoughts, even the angry ones! Respectively, Kitten Whiskers

I remember asking why Joehoba waited so long to start the JW's and it all just went hand in hand, there were JW's before the org became official, so Jesus all of our fav biblical characters
were really JW's, yup all along!

The society teaches that since Pentecost (33ce.) that Jehovah has ALWAYS had a Faithful and Discreet Slave class on earth AT ALL TIMES dispensing food to each succeding generation. In other words.......Jehovah has always used his Slave to dispense spiritual food since Pentecost.....at ALL times.
If witnesses believe this, then WHY did Jehovah let the Catholics become the carekeepers of his word the Bible? They are the ones to compile the Canon we now have. It wasn't till the 50"s that the JW's printed their OWN bible. Since 1919 they were approved as christs true brothers, yet they used "wordly" bibles to gain truth from.
The witnesses will claim Jehovah has many times used his enemy to carry out his own agenda......but WHY use the Catholics to produce a bible when there was a slave here the entire time it was put together?

Obviously, Jehovah used His Slave, the Catholics, to give the food at the proper time.
I just had a relative tell me when I asked him where Russell got his truth from, that Wycliff, Calvin, Luther, were all no doubt of the annointed in their time. So, even though they believed in all the false doctrines the witnesses do not believe in.......they were of the annointed. Apparently Jehovah wasn't ready for them to learn pure doctrine at that time.
