Maybe they needed a reason to cover the bibles arse for being so contradictory.

    The Watchtower, April 15, 1928, p. 126

Sometimes a member of a class will refuse to engage in the canvassing for the books because there are some mistakes in the books, and says his conscience will not permit him to put books in which there are mistakes into the hands of the people. Of course this is another method that the enemy adopts to confuse the minds and furnish an excuse for not being faithful to the Lord. As every one knows, there are mistakes in the Bible and there has never been a book written yet that is perfect that has been written by any human hand.

If witnesses believe this, then WHY did Jehovah let the Catholics become the carekeepers of his word the Bible? They are the ones to compile the Canon we now have.

Exactly Gumby. The witnesses like to quote 2 Tim 3:16 "All scripture is inspired by God".... But what is the "all"? Is it the 66 books put together by apostate (in the witnesses eyes) Catholics? You'd thing they would at least admit they owe some debt of thanks to the Catholic church,

The watchtower will NEVER say thank you to the catholic church for anything....they wouldn't piss on a catholic church even to put out a fire.....

    Great question thread though. Gymbob

If there was a faithful and discreet slave at the time of Russell, why was there a need for him and the Watchtower Society? Why didn't he follow it?

    .....Please explain.

The Witlesses are an American religion. America is the land of capitalist pigs. Their moto is create a need and fill it. The Witnoids created a need in your life and you had to sell magazines bother your neighbors and pontificate like a mad man to fill it.

Seriously religion is the oldest con known to man, followed by prostitution and marriage.

    Jaguar,

Seriously religion is the oldest con known to man, followed by prostitution and marriage.

It's not a "con" as long as one KNOWS what they are getting for the price they pay.

How is marriage a con? When you say your vows, you've agreed to the terms.

If you pay a whore and she pays you with her services.....how is that a con?

Religion is the only one that's really a con in that you never recieve the reward unless you die.....and that's a maybe. Most religion offers a "hope" but no real payment back to you other than a piece of mind while your alive. Maybe that's a reward in itself to those who truely believe.
