yes, I have a protection order, the judge gave me the longest one he could, five years. And I have friends and a couple of shrinks and the police have been extremely compassionate and helpful. Just anxiety. Want to know what I will have to deal with. It's awful, but every day I go online, hoping the sheriff's department website will say he's dead. Awful, I used to love him until the meth.

you say he attacked a police officer?

that one thing there is more likely to get him put away for a long time moreso than anything else. so i have a feeling he'll be incarcerated a long time. attacking cops is a serious offense that most judges will give harsh sentences for.

He attacked a police officer and his own friend with a knife. The police officer shot him in the leg, then used the taser, then another officer used his taser and finally five officers jumped him before they could get him to stop charging and drop the knife. I was in the car and heard the shot - oh well, almost over. I hope he gets a long prison term, not just assault on a police officer with a deadly weapon but also drugs and a lot of guns including illegal weapons. I told you all this before in March - I'm sorry to be dragging it all up again, but it's on my mind right now. Whew - OK I'll stop being a drama queen and get back to work. I feel better, thanks for the words of advice.

can I tell you a good story? I just found out that someone on this board is someone I grew up with. I won't say who - that person can say if that person wants to - but it made me so happy to find out that this person turned a crappy hellish childhood into a successful life. I just found out who it was this week - such good news.

Sorry, I missed your story back in March. It sounds like you have been through hell. Hang in there, he won't be getting out for a long long time.

I am glad we found each other again, after so many years and we are both out. Living in that basement apt., below you guys, what a dump, water would come through the walls every time it rained. luckily it doesn't rain much in San Diego. Your sister lived in there, was it before or after we were there? Now I have some happy childhood memories back. Riding in your green pioneer mobile to service and the KH, no memories being in service or at the meetings just the ride there.

Hope you can make it to my BBQ next month and we can do some catching up.

I have been trying to figure out if I can make it down there for your BBQ. I'd love to meet your wife and hear about your family. What an amazing thing that we would run across each other on the JWD forum! My sister lived in that apt. for a long time after you all left. Now she lives in Indiana, has three nice grown up sons. I am still blown away by the coincidence and so thrilled at how your life has turned out.

what kind of car was that, anyway? I think I remember owning a green subaru.

Thank you so much! I feel a lot better today, just an emotional roller coaster until this trial is over. My logical mind says my husband is going to prison, but the non-logical part of me just watched a CNN special on criminal insanity and is scared!!! I guess I need to watch a Dr. Who episode. What is it the WT says about watching television - I guess I ought to control my choices better.
