It gets worse, if they are an elder esp; single brother and a pioneer, its all about them, and how we should look up to them, even if you have one leg and youre eighty should be doing more.

When I was a pioneer I did try to encourage others to pioneer if they could. I guess we did think we were special. Needed a crash in humility.

There were lots of cases of older widows with lots of health problems, etc. who would at least go out in service 10 hours a month, even though they were exhausted and not feeling well. But did anyone announce their names and clap for them?

    Very good point.

I must add that most of the pioneers in the congo I've been to live at home and a looked after by parents, they don't have to worry about cooking cleaning or other duties, some never paid rent, or parents bought them cars, and strangly these ones were the most pompous in the group.

The ones that really had to struggle to look after themselves were never as well dressed or if they had a car was a second hand and old as. They were usually looked down on, and yet it was those pioneers that didn't bludge and were easiest to get along with.

As a bethelite, it was something, as an ex-bethelite/pioneer, it was astounding, as an ex-bethelite/pioneer/elder, it was pornographic.

Glad to be just a regular "joe" these days.

A "service bag" --- a bitchy domineering single female dominatrix pioneer Jehovah's Witnesses - The Two Sides of Field Service

Being one of Jehovah's Witnesses, we were taught that in order to please God, we much perform works of sacrifice, not realizing that its works of mercy God ...

-------------- Please no offense to the ladies O-Kay I had my say about pioneer bi**hes and of course the men (brothers) are worst a**holes none the less woman who aren't 'service bags' are described below : syxpba.gifpolrbear.gif Women ARE biologically superior to men.How so: (1) Women have a longer life expectancy than men, there are more widows than widowers
This is due in part to(A) The protective effects of estrogen which helps protect against hardening of the arteries.

    (B) Women have "more stored fat" than men so they often live longer than men in a famine.

(C)Women have a slightly greater organ redundancy than men, because they procreate.

    (2) Baby girls are'smarter' and thrive better than baby boys up to one year old because testosterone inhibits brain development.
" Women are sugar and spice and everything nice"

I LOVE women God bless you all.

I wish you sweet success and many joys.Cheers,Danny Haszard Bangor Maine USA

Even though I've never been a JW, I can always spot the poineers in the hall. They are the first to come to greet me, the first to establish my "status", and the first to shun. It is obvious that "Pioneer" is the highest ambition a Witness woman can achieve, outside of pushing her husband to elder-hood. It also explains why my high-pressure, high-paying job is viewed as an inconvenience.

So what of my poor husband, who has been striving to achieve the privelege of PUBLISHER for over five years? He's mumbling again about whether they will "grant" him this privelege this fall. I'm of the mind they'll finally give it to him. He says if he gets it, he won't accept congratulations, it's too shameful how long they made him wait.

No wonder our status is below the mud-scrapings off a pig-farmer's shoe.

The org considers preaching to be a top priority not because it will save lives as they claim but because to them it is a profitable commercial activity as it involves the selling of their products which are books, magazines and other printed matter.

It's not surprising that they will seek to create attitudes that will pressure the dubs to spend more time on this activity hence the veneration of the brainless pioneers who sacrifice their time in large quantities for a manmade org and its self serving aims while thinking they work for God and will be rewarded by Him.

I knew a pioneer her intials were C.B. she had a close circle of friends that did 60 hours a month or more. She did 90 hours a month. Yes they drive real slow. I went out in service a few times with that group and they drove at 20 mile per hour everywhere thay went. They were spastic drivers !!! they stepped on the gas and got the car up to 20 MPH and then right off the gas and then down to 10 MPH. Jeez I think should sue for whiplash!! I wonder if C.B. still believes that pioneering is a rewarding life?

I was a pioneer for two years, worked on the building construction projects for 10 years, etc.

Even though I tried not to ack like I was better than others, many pioneers in my congregation thougth they were God's give to the congregation and especially if they were married to an elder.

When my husband and I got married ( note: I was a single parent for 15 years), they quickly made him a ministerial servant and tried to make us fit into their 'spiritual clicks". We refused.

I even told the Bethelite Elder that was going to give our marriage talk that they and the congregation were not going to be in our marital businessonce we got marrierd, told him what the topic of our marrige talk was going to be and when he gave our marriage talk he had exactly 30 minutes or I was going to walk off the stage at the Kingdom Hall and go to City Hall in Queens, NY and get married. He looked at me surprised and laughed, but he knew I was serious.

Yes, they think they are better than everyone else if they are pioneers, ministerial servants, elders, etc.

I'm glad my husband and I never felt that way and today we are no longer actively involved with this cult.
