I too was frustrated that I couldn't unleash my Satanic humor upon the brothers and sisters.
And, I was a flaming heterosexual.
I led a double life for many years...from school until I got married.
Not that I was a bad JW kid...it was just so hard to live up to the standards of the congregation and my parents (whose standards were even higher than the JWs...my mom was an uber-JW)
Compared to other JW kids that I knew, I was tame. They were getting away with a lot more than I was without half the trying of covering it up. I never could figure how they never got caught.
I was super secretive about anything that might be deemed as inappropriate. From music I owned, to movies I saw, to the association that I kept.
Somehow I managed to keep a stash of porn for my personal use (wink wink say no more). After I got my license, I managed to get out and hang out with other youths that my parents had "marked" and subsequently I wasn't supposed to be around them.
After I moved out on my own, I didn't hide stuff from others as much as I let it known that my business was mine and no one elses. During that free time of living on my own, I did some things that, if caught, would have had me in some JC meetings...I just never got caught.
I knew a "married" couple that got baptized and it was revealed that they never were legally married. They got d'fd right away.
Doubts, doubts, doubts and could not speak to anyone.
Smoking....even before it became a df offense

I knew a couple that was engaged to get married...and then it was found out that they had gotten married at the justice of the peace and were keeping it quiet. They were going to go through the wedding and reception and everything for the family/congregation's sake. Being married of course, they could "legally" have sex, though they weren't living together yet.
When they got found out, they were both reproved and she was removed from the pioneer list.
I don't know what the "charges" were or if the elders just felt the need to drum up some phony charges to make sure everyone knew that they couldn't be toyed with.
The charge: Having sex while only legally married.
I felt bad when young brothers would approach an elder and confess to him that he "had a problem masturbating".
There's just so many ways I can take this statement...
Mostly just doubts, but lots of them.
It just amazes me that there are those within the jw rank and file who don't know the meaning of discretion. Maybe cuz the society encourages folks to blah about their personal business and others' too?
