Terry: To me time is precious. Since you recommended this movie I decided to watch it. I couldn't resist skipping through sections when I realized the piece was propaganda. When I landed on the 9-11 stuff that pretty much finished it off for me. Pure garbage. The worst of what the internet could offer. I don't trust video presentations. They are based on the idea that seeing is believing. Dumb people get dumber on the internet. Smart people get smarter on the internet. But there IS a market for this kind of stuff. I must say I tolerate Michael Moore's movies because I half-way agree with some of his issues and they actually are entertaining - fact bending and all. I hope the point you were trying to make is to keep the BS detector on at all times.
WHAT IS YOUR PERSONAL OPINION OF...?

I found it macabre entertainment, since it pieced together a tattered tapestry of many gruesome elements of our existence into an apparent whole, but did so without any thread and no loom. That was the entertaining part.
For instance, I would be surprised if anyone didn't know that financial institutions and financiers profit from war. That doesn't mean they like it when people die. It means they capitalize on the tragedy that humans are willing to inflict on one another to make profits. The movie used images to create an impression for which they have no facts.

Same methodology as the Watchtower Society!
1.Attack a beloved premise, foundation and institution.
2.Set yourself up as the revealer of truth by pointing to flaws.
3.Mix other conclusions in with indisputables.
4.Create a new (artificial) connection.
5.Draw conclusions.
We all learned in our so-called bible study with a JW that we couldn't trust Christendom's teachings.
We got the "real" story of how things work.
We got busy spreading the message.
We differentiated ourselves from our previously held societal and familial bonds by being so skeptical and cynical.
We created a new persona for ourselves with oddball beliefs which we absolutely held TRUE.
We were controlled by a new group (having left the old ones behind.)
Anarchy starts by undermining your premises and replacing foundational beliefs.

This is probably what bothered me so much about the film. I was fuming on the couch, watching it with my girlfriend. When we got to the part where some guy being interviewed said that he had heard from one of the Rockerfellers that George Bush has a plan to install microchips in our foreheads I probably had sparks flying out of my ears. I felt both hilarity and nausea at the same time.
How easy it is to slip into believing crazy shit when unaware of subtle psychological manipulation.

I appreciate all the opposing views presented on this thread.
So unlike the JW world.
I'm with IP_SEC. It's thought-provoking. That's important.

I watched it. Interesting and thought provoking. Really, nothing new here, though. I liked the Jesus myth part. I already knew that astrology is found in the Bible. I already knew that many Bible stories and characters are blatant rip-offs of older myths and heroes from other civilizations. I still think that some Jewish teacher lived and had some kind of following in the first century. Naturally, the myth became greater than the man, whoever he was.
I'm familiar with Michael Ruppert's "From the Wilderness" website, which discusses the Bush/Bin Laden connection among other 9/11 issues. He wrote a book about it. Frankly, I never read his book or got into the 9/11 debate. Go argue 9/11 with someone else. I have no conclusions, only questions.
I already knew about the banking system. I've heard about the North American Union recently. I hadn't heard of the Amero. I've heard of RFID chips. It seems a bit unreal. Who wants to have so much control and why? It boggles the mind.
