In this organization, how can any Witness express their disapproval of anything? The Society has
even stooped so low as to disfellowship people who disagree with the fact of other people being
disfellowshipped for exposing child molestation problems within the organization!
Things are so ridiculous that telling the elders that you don't believe in God gets you sympathy while
saying "I don't believe in the organization" can get you disfellowshipped.
Meeting attendance and reporting field service are monitored so as to trigger potential visits from the
local elders. Don't study in independent groups. Don't go to college.
So, hypothetically, in what ways can a Witness rebel - or minimally express dissatisfaction -
and get away with it? I see five main ways:
1) tell them you are depressed/chronically ill and skip doing whatever you don't like.
2) fake your field service report and regularly discard the magazines.
3) stop donating money to them!
4) cruise the internet privately and download porn or read about 'apostacy'.
5) secretly drink or use drugs to get by ( as long as you don't get arrested, you'll be OK)
Given the obnoxious character of the Society, I'd say that they will get more and more of the
sort of rebellion that they can't stop or punish - and that means more of the five above.
Additionally, the more they try to crackdown on young people, the more open rebellion they'll get.
