If I had been thinking, while I was still an elder, there were several used copies from 3 or 4 elders who had turned theirs in sitting in the bottom of the elders file cabinet. I could have snagged one of those and no one would have been the wiser when I ultimately had to give up my copy. (As secretary, I knew how many were supposed to be there from elders I knew had come off. Some elders on the BOE did not even realize those books were there at all, let alone how many were supposed to be there.)

So the night they recommended my removal with the CO (and I knew it was likely unavoidable), they made sure after the meeting they requested my book (which obviously I had because I was reading from it trying to find something else to poke holes in their crap reasoning....dont laugh, I had been successful on many occasions...I just had finally reached the end of my 9 lives)

So, no I have no book. Too bad, because when I got the book new, I was able to borrow a sub CO's book and copy all of his previous notes with some notes only available in COs letters, and along with my notes from some pretty intense sessions and copying notes from letters....would have been more complete than most elders manuals)

Oh, well, its all rubbish anyway....and I think they are revising it again (last revised in 91). More noose for the sheep.

A few years ago, I believe one was put up for sale on e-bay. Hold onto those rare boooks. They get more valuable with age and "new light."

Whatever you do, PLEASE do not give them ANY of this stuff back! And, if you happen upon older literature, donate it to Free Minds, or another group that helps people to come out of the WTS.

If you don't want to do that, then put it for sale on ebay! I have bought a lot of great old WTS books and magazines from ebay, and they have been great resources for reaching current JWs.

My P.O. kept asking for mine at every meeting. Finally I relented and gave it to him. My Flock book had so many notes and side- bars that the CO. made a remark at the elders meeting that my book had a flock book inside the flock book. Other elders wanted to use mine to play catch up on the notes for elders at our meetings at the elders school. Looking back I wish I never turned it in.
