Just looking to make sure my translation is correct on the following. I think one of the words may be a typo:
You are the air I need to breathe = Usted es el aire que tengo que respirar
You are the half that makes me whole = Usted es la mitad que me hace todo
Only with you I feel so comfortable = Solo con usted me siento tan comodo
I have been waiting for you all my life! = Ihe estado esperandole toda mi vida!
Ihe? Is that a word? How does this all look to you?

I would suggest the more intimate tu in lieu of usted.
Tu eres el aire que respiro. You are the air that I breathe.
Tu eres la mitad que me hace completo. You are the half that makes me whole.
Solo contigo me siento en casa. Only with you I feel at home.
He estado esperandote toda mi vida. I've been waiting for you all my life.

While most of that is correct, if you're close enough to someone to say all that, you wouldn't use words like "Usted," which is very formal. =p
Anyway,
You are the air I need to breathe=Tu eres el aire que necesito respirar. Necesito=need, tengo=have to.
You are the half that makes me whole=Tu eres la mitad que me hace completo. todo=everything
Only with you I feel so comfortable=Solo contigo me siento tan comodo
I have been waiting for you all my life!=He estado esperandote toda mi vida! or Te he estado esperando toda mi vida.

spain spanish is pretty much the same, I think, aside from a few words that no latin americans use, like "vosotros."
Also, in the first quote, I notice you use "al aire" as opposed to "el aire." Typo or no? And in the last line you've used "esperandote" instead of "esperandole." Is that right?

Don't worry friend. I seem to recall your "preciosa" has Cuban roots.
I am most fluent with the Spanish of Cuba, Puerto Rico, and the Dominican Republic.
As Chameleon explained, it's really similar to the Spanish of Spain with some exceptions. Pronunciation varies more than the written words.

Thanks for the lessons! I am always working on improving my Spanish. I watch Spanish telenovelas and sitcoms several times a week.

Feel free to correct my awkward sentences and less than perfect translations. I always have the most trouble with "por" and "para."

You can't translate it literally and use it in the bedroom, the boardroom perhaps because like this it denotes a treaty or business deal. go with the naranja or pareja
Solo contigo me siento en casa. Why would you want to say this? Makes no sense
Use something like "Mi corazon late solo por ti" or "Mi corazon nunca dejo (accent over the o)tu corazon"
He estado esperandote toda mi vida. I've been waiting for you all my life.
Para TI he quedado esperando toda la vida.
Note that example one is great to use with a taxi driver, not so good for romance.
