Over the years, the Watchtower has, believe it or not talked out of both sides of its mouth on this issue. Surprise, surprise. LOL!
When pointing to large religious organizations, they emphasize that a large membership can no way be viewed as an indication of God's approval.
When seeking to prove that they enjoy God's blessing as his name people, they point to the fact that there are millions of Witnesses worldwide and their increasing membership.
What gives?
Does size really matter?
When I joined they told me that the true religion had to be a small group, not a large one like the Catholics. Then they say God blesses them and they become many ??

It is yet another one of their double standards. They brag about having millions of followers at the same time bragging about their small size. Were the GB unable to get a 2/3 majority on that vote and wound up with 50/50 perhaps?

I still love that my parents say "Yes Organized religion is the cause of all the world's woe's." Yet witnesses don't get included in that label of "organized" Dude when you have the countryside mapped out as "territory" - you're organized!
