I consider myself "Christian", but don't know exactly what one must do to please Christ and YHWH...
Do you Consider yourself "Christian" and what does this imply?

Yes.
One poster and I had a private discussion about what that means. He defined it as 'accepting the story' of Christianity. Still trying to put a handle on it myself. But I do believe in God, and so perhaps I am better described as a 'believer' at this point.

No.
I don't believe in the God of the Bible or the character Jesus, be he God, Christ or man. I don't accept the Bible as a Holy writ..
Since I don't accept the Bible or definition of Jesus as Christ, then I am not a Christian.
Since I was raised in the "truth" and was never part of the "anointed" then it could be said that I was never a Christian. Under WT doctrine, to be part of the True Christian congregation, one has to be in the new covenant with Christ. Since I was just part of the Great Crowd, technically speaking I was not part of the Christian congregation, therefore not deserving of the title Christian even as a JW.

I dont consider myself a Christian, to be a Christian one would need to believe in the bible. I am still pondering over whether the whole basis of Christianity is just a story, or a compilation of myths. I am spiritual in a new age, pagan sort of way, but do not follow one particular belief system.

Yes cause I have faith in the power of love / wisdom = Christ
what does this imply?
(to me) All together what I've understood by now in short is : Not being an hypocrite about the matter of love and if we can't really love others (because we have a tendancy to focus on ourselves) that's what we really have to work on (able or not we need to really want it at least).
I mean christianity is not cult but a growing process which lead to wisdom and inner peace by love which includes charity (to the point to be able to forget about ourselves when needed - therefore the example of Christ sacrifice for all) but not for NUTS and certainly not by hypocrisy (which would lead nowhere spiritually) ...
Not sure I'm clear, but I really wanted to make it short in a not religious way.

When I first started to fade and had serious doubts about a lot of things, I still believed in Jesus and Jehovah and most of the Bible. But as I researched and thought about things harder, it started to fall apart like a house of cards. For instance, I don't any longer believe in the story of Noah's flood as a literal, historical fact, but Jesus references it as such, so then suddenly I doubt Jesus because of it.
But I'm not 100% opposed to believing in him, or at least that he existed. And either way I think we can learn a lot from what is written about him. But I guess I wouldn't call myself a Christian anymore.
Being a Christian must mean one believes that Jesus was Christ (the annointed one, Messiah), and therefore mankind's saviour. And that as a follower of him, one should do what he asked of his followers (well - "must" - - I'm not gonna tell people what to think, but I think it's a logical line of thought).
Anyway - I consider myself an atheist by now, but my beliefs (or rather lack thereof) aren't set in stone - I have become allergic to dogma and absolute Truths for 'some reason', no matter the source.

It's all so simple. Beleiving that Christ came to earth and died for our sins. Religion...uuhm??? I don't think any one denomination has the mind of God figured out with all the traditional stuff. But What I do know is the peace, the power and the love that is found in realationship with Jesus Christ.

Can I get an "Ahe-men"? In the words of my esteemed colleague, Rev. Brown:
He helped Joshua fight the battle of Jericho, he helped Daniel get out the lion's den, he helped Gilligan get off the island.
If lovin' the lord is wrong, I don't want to be right.
Joy! Can I get an "Ahe-men"? Don't be ashamed to call His name!
Only God can give that woman the kind of joy she has right there! Make a joyful noise unto the Lord!
Amen! Yes, sir! Can I get an "Amen"? Ha! Ha! I don't know you what you come to do, but *I* come to praise the name! Lord, Lord!
Girl, you look so good, someone ought to put you on a plate and sop you up with a biscuit. -

YES . I believe in the Son of God, Jesus, who came to earth to redeem all who believe in him. It implies TRYING to follow his example as a human being, meaning following his commandments. If you are a studier of the Bible and understand his parables, you would under stand those as a Christian. A Christian is one who believes Christ died for our sins and when he prayed in Matthew, "thy Kingdom Come, they will be done, on Earth as it is in Heaven" that this will happen eventually! eytc. etc.

So you are all basically jewish christians, not just "christians", since you subscribe to Yahweh as being God almighty? I don't think I've seen Yahweh's name in the Greek interlinear. In my opinion you can't be Christian without the jewish baggage (it works the other way but not for christians). In other words why not just use the Greek scriptures as your guide and forget about the jewish scrips?
