Are Your Morals The Same As When You Were A Witness?

I did not and do not steal, cheat, lie (except about not being in the truth to my family), murder, or truly hate anyone. I don't think what you do with your body is moral or immoral because it is no one's business. I don't believe it falls under the category of morality.

Although I allow myself to do more so-called immoral things now than when I was a JW, I am actually more moral now because I have stopped judging people and am working on just getting along. I feel like I am a better person now than then. I am able to unconditionally love people, whereas before, I only loved other JW's.

I don't view promiscuity as being immoral unless someone is being cheated on or deceived. But then, I was promiscuous before I was a JW, so I might be a little biased.

So is a person who has a reputation to sleep around a lot, a sexually moral person?? Or is there no such thing as "sexually moral " or "sexually immoral"??

    nvrgnbk said it best.

I really believe that it's wrong to harm or cheat or lie to another, and that doing a kindness for someone is a human privilege. . .itI never felt this as a Hoho, I felt that I could be despised or disciplined for violating these rules and so obeyed.

"I would not know sin if not for law" Rom.7:7

Jesus said "You did not know sin until i showed you sin.

Soooo, before the law there was no sin, but God invented the law to make us sinners.

so the question is: Why? Not have your morals changed?

I remember hearing of women that were referred to as "sluts" because they had been with several partners. No one ever called me a "slut" even though I had a lot more than "several" partners. That didn't seem right to me. Sex is a natural function, and I can't see myself referring to someone as "immoral" just because they have a stronger sex drive than some others, or perhaps just they just have the courage to indulge it without worrying about what others think. Cheating on a partner or leading someone on emotionally are another matter. I would have to consider that immoral. I did it myself a long time ago, and still feel bad about it long after these other people have likely forgotten all about me.

So, is there such a thing as sexual immorality?? Yes or no? Give an example if "yes".

I think that sleeping around when married is immoral. Sleeping around when not married or connected is "sexually active." Sleeping around without protection is sexually stupid. Morals keep us from hurting others.
