how would a dub respond?

Thats a good thought. A hard core JDUB would think that Jesus enter his heavenly Kingdom in Oct 1, 1914 and it took him a year to enter God's heavenly Jerusalem in Oct 1, 1915 when he cleaned out God's heavenly temple then hurled Satan down to earth. In 1918, Times, time and half a times, when he started with his earthly temple and cleaned out Bethel in Oct 1, 1918 to rid God's earthly organization from food from Satan, pyramidology. Rutherford wrote that Jesus visited his earthly temple in 1918 and the proof was the Divine Plan of the Ages. Yet 1955 WT, stated that in 1918 satan's food was pyramidology (Divine Plan of the Ages) and the earthly temple was cleansed out. But it was not untill 1919 that the Kingdom Minstery was stopped in Ontario Canada and publication and preaching was put to a complete stop which proves that satan attacked God organization. Let's not forget the Fullfillment of the two witnesses who lie dead for three and half years in Egypt.

So what would an elder or pioneer JDUB think about your logical thinking! They would think that it does not go with Daniel's prophecy about Satan's League of Nations and God's organization, WTBTS. They would dis-miss your logical questioning with a polite smile and suggest you to read Daniel's Prophecy. LOL

I think you have more common sense approach than any WTBTS DUB!

Because, It is not reasonable that God's heavenly temple would need to be cleaned out then three and half years later God's new earthly temple(Bethel) would need to be cleaned. Why would God allow satan to attack his new earthly spiritual temple.

Too bad that junk is in my brain! because it has nothing to do with the love of Jesus who gave his life for all of us! It all bull!

what if i counter that satan is sly, and the great deceiver? surely he could find a way around it?

Jehovah used his rarely used ability to foresee everything. I don't need to understand it
to know that's true. God knows, He informed the FDS, they told us. God is much more
powerful than Satan. If he wasn't so enraged, Satan would see that clearly, but God
knew he wouldn't see it clearly.

The problem is, the entire bible is a house of cards. If you study it with an open mind, and I mean NO preconceptions, you'll discover an almost endless supply of questions without answers. I guess that's one of the reasons most people need a pre-packaged religion to explain it to them.

How about this. Satan and his demons don't understand bible prophecy. Because how could they without using the studies in the scriptures books. Because we all know that in less than two years of not reading studies inteh scriptures a person will forget all his previous understanding of bible prophecy.

I find it amusing that people view Satan as a big idiot.

So for six thousand years god had this big master plan

    Which is actually pretty lame:

Step one, wait a long time.

Step two, sacrifice your own son (or yourself) to yourself.

Step three, wait another long time.

Step four, kill everyone who disagrees with you and/or doesn't even think you exist, and start over.

But he managed to make it a lot more complicated than that. Involving a lot of water and covenants.

(As an aside, did you ever get the impression that Yahweh is the god of water? Global flood, parting the Red Sea, stopping the Jordan, water into blood, water into wine, walking on water, water out of a rock, making bitter water sweet, hail.)

Anyway, is Satan really so stupid? A lot of Yahwehs plans involved Satan having to do something.

"He will bruise you in the head and you will bruise him in the heel."

Which is supposed to be GOD telling Satan that he will have Jesus killed..... So why the heck would Satan want Jesus killed? DUH! it's pretty stupid to tell your enemy what you expect him to do, and it's even dumber to do exactly what your enemy wants.

Satan should have just let Jesus live, don't allow your drones to have him executed, no death means no ransom, no ransom means no armageddon, no armageddon means no binding into the abyss for Satan.

Then of course there is the 1914 thing that you pointed out! If Satan had simply NOT started the war, then he could have screwed up gods whole plan! At least temporarily.

And like I have said before, all these stories about demons telling people that the witnesses are the true religion really makes Satan look like a moron.

LtCmd, it was Robert Heinlein's JOB: A COMEDY OF DIVINE JUSTICE
(the name might be slightly off, but close) where Satan decided not to
show up for the big-A, saying there wasn't any point in it.

ltcmd, you made my point perfect. the dubs teach that satan is so cunning, he can even make the undisbutable word of god questionable. yet, he'd be dumb enough to play into his hand.

i can't believe people actually buy into this crap.

That sounds like it would be funny, I'm gonna check it out.

    Job: A Comedy of Justice

Read at one level, this novel is a updated biblical Book of Job. The main character is put through the wringer because of a wager made by his Creator. Read at another level, it is the story of transformation: religious bigot and all-around prig Alex Hergensheimer is transformed into a much better person, even if that may not have been anyone's intent. But at another, deeper level, Heinlein illustrates what is really important, what really matters, what really endures. Because Alex discovers, over the course of the story, what real love can be, and how real love is the most important thing in the universe. More important than the dubious Heaven he finds when, about to lose his wager, the Creator pulls the Last Trump and Alex ascends to sainthood and Heaven, without his true love. He abandons Heaven and harrows Hell to find her. Heinlein couldn't have put it much more plainly.

It's not a remake of the book of Job, but it's a modern tale of a similar story of
a wager between God and Satan, where God cheats (sort of).
