Amen to what Karvel said.
Sharks have been overfished, especially when shark fin was all the rage in China and Japan. Their numbers have been greatly depleted.
Sharks are like the wolves of the sea, they help keep the ocean clean. Without them, the ocean would be polluted with dead, rotting fish.
I myself, have never, and will never eat shark, nor would I want to dine in a restaurant that served it.

Clearly, I stepped on a nerve with you Eclipse. Obviously, I was not interested in depleting the oceans with my little shark steak experiment. I can't imagine the reaction I would have gotten for suggesting a trip to the Arctic to eat seal blubber with the Inuits.
All I wanted was advise on how to make a good bit of fish taste better.
We could of course improve the planet by tossing our computers, refrigerators, automobiles and driving buggies too - but that seems a stretch from the purpose of the thread.

If others want to enjoy shark steak, that is up to them, I just would not, as I am alarmed at the fast rate that they are dissapearing.
