And, say, you don't think I could get disfellowshipped just for making a couple of posts on this site. Could I?

Do you want to limit this question to DFed only? Or, are you also curious for guesses about the % that have been either publicly or privately reproved?

As for your posting here, if you want to send along your name and address, I know some gestapo that'd be more than happy to nail your A$$ to the back room wall. (And mine too while they're at it)

I've found that the common pattern for DFed Witnesses is (1) Private or Public Reproof (2) Disfellowshipping (3) Reinstatement (4) 2nd Disfellowshipping (5) Never comes back. Of course, there are exceptions to the rule, but usually this is how it happens.

I'll guess 43%. More than one third, less than one half. Of course, I have no facts or statistics to back this up, just judging from the past 25 years of my former congregation.

My guess would be that 15% of JWs are DF'd at some point

23-40% having some sort of reproof including the DF'd ones.

In every congregation I've been in (8) for 58 years there has been at least one person disfellowshipped per year.

Figuring that the average person has been in around 25 years I would say that 25% have been disfellowshipped.

Probably a third of that number were probably disfellowshipped twice, I think the percentage would be around 15%.

    That's a lot of stonings.

A woman in my former congo was DF'd 4 times, and last I knew was working on another re-instatement bid. At one point she married one brother and cheated with his brother, then married him, cheated again, with someone else, and then yet again with some worldly dude. I think she had something like 5 husbands.

In my family, there are 5 DF'd ones, and one unbaptized fade. Two second cousins, my mom, my step aunt and myself are all DF'd. One cousin has been DF'd twice now. The others just all are never going back, including myself.

GOD i wish someone would hurry up and get dfd in my family! But i would say 15-20% and significant portion of maybe 7-10% of those returning.I remember going years without ever hearing of anyone getting dfd from my congs in Canada but in the US i always heard of someone in trouble....lol

Not enough or else they would abolish the judgmental, demeaning practice that God never intended, however living by their own rules, I would say that all if not most should have been if it were not for a good ole boy system.
