A CO told me in the early to mid 1990's that between 1 and 1.5% of JWs are DF'd each year and that about half that number are reinstated.
What percentage of Witnesses are DFed at some point in their JW existence?

We can never know a reasonably precise figure without a survey using a large sample in several countries. During my time as a dub over seven years hardly anyone got DFed it was just a couple of young JWs out of seventy members.
But surely overall a large number of dubs leave the org each year.

Wow, some high estimates in there. My guess would be around about 5%.
But how many would be disfellowshipped if every 'wrongdoing' was brought to light? More like 80% if you ask me!
Disfellowshipping seems to catch out the unwary novice rather than the hardened 'sinner'. (Just some wild speculating)

i know a few years ago (maybe 5-7) it was said or printed that about 39,000 were df'ed in the previous year that out of 6 million witnesses. whatever that works out to be, probably slightly higer now with many "newer" ones coming in and the young ones getting baptised so young.

This is an interesting statistic. If you are talking about the percentage of active witnesses disfellowshipped, my guess it would be very low. There is a low probability that a disfellowshipped person rejoins the congregation.
If you are talking about the percentage of active and non active disfellowshipped, my guess is that the percentage is close to 30-40%. There is a very high attrition of witnesses. The backdoor is more active than the front door.
