I was told i'd not see the end of Primary School - i did.
I was told i'd not see my teens - i did.
I was told i'd not finish High school - i did.
I was told i'd not start College - i did.
I was told i'd not have time to start a family of my own - i did.

There was a lot of emphasis placed on the end of this System coming soon...they were wrong. No wonder people are screwed up or having a hard time. They never prepared themselves for the real world.
I was told exactly the same, nothing to do with the JW's though.
I was just sickly with Asthma!

Yep, my dad was 17 years old in 1950 when he was ordered NOT to pay into his company pension because "don't you know where we are in the stream of time? Armageddon will be here LONG before you retire!" He's been retired for over 10 years now. In addition, my parents were told that none of their kids would:
Karl, you're lucky that you made your escape from The Borg at such a young age. You've got your whole life ahead of you. You can get an education now (instead of waiting for 20 years like I have), and think about your future.
Hi Karl................my mom was told the same thing about my siblings and I: We would never go to school because Armageddon was all but here. And here we are, our children are in school, and my daughter went to university!!
Thank goodness your child(ren) will never experience what we all did, as far as being involved in a cult!!!!

when i grew up in the 80s and 90s i was told the same.
my mum was 100% sure that i wont see the end of highschool (in worst case).
its scary that she still tells similar stuff (like it cant be 5 more years). just like the other predictions never happened.
jesus said noone knows. so if it will happen noone will know! it maybe tomorrow or in a thousand years. thats the truth.

Hey D'. Everything is going fine yeah - told the same things and the same lies, but at least you and many here have made some good choices that counter the bad ones!!

100% is a lot, its sad isnt it many hang on waiting for so long instead of living life to the full!

LOL! No we're not, ya dumb ass!! But she is one of me best friends who lives only a few streets over from me. I gotta real lovely picture of Delilah, me and my sister when I was 12, Dee was 13 and my sister was 14. I'd post it, but she's KILL me!! LOL!!
