Yup KW, I was told the same thing - never gonna finish school, never gonna have kids in this old system.......

I finished school, went to nursing school, got married, 3 kids and my kids - the youngest will be starting his senior year in a couple weeks!

"This generation shall by no means pass away..."

    The Bible lied.

    The JW cult lied.

    We got screwed.

Now we pick up the pieces.

I think we're all doing exceptionally well considering the circumstances.

You're a good man and a good father, KW!

    We're proud of you!

That i think is what confirms it to you, when your youngest is doing what you never thought you'd see!

Your right, we do very well!

It means a lot, to hear people say they are proud of you because it confirms to you that the right choices were made. Your not so bad ya'self

Yep, KW, same here (only a wee bit older).

    I wasn't supposed to start school...but in 1966, I did.

I wasn't supposed to finish high school...but I did, in 1978. (In fact, with all the brou-ha-ha about 1975, a number of my peers dropped out to "pioneer" during the "last days" and later had to get GEDs.)

My grandmother wasn't supposed to grow old and die (she was born in 1912)...but she did.

My mother would never see grandchildren...but she's got four. (And one of them's in college now).

Yep. Any day now, right around the corner.

I remember the crap my mother took when she was pregnant with my youngest brother (1966)--"Woe to the mother of a suckling babe!"

    And he's 41, with teenagers.

    So much for that.

I wonder sometimes if reminding dubs of all this might help...how can it be right?

I got to wondering if there was anything positive about the failure of JW eschatology.

    Here's one:

Unbelieving aunts, and uncles that were supposed to experience the horrors depicted in the Paradise book's illustrations of Armageddon never did.

The lived long, full and mostly happy lives. Passed away in their 80's and 90's
