If your post from a mac try clicking on the Automatic Cr/LF at the bottom of the screen right above the submit post icon.

If your using an alternative browser like Firefox instead of Internet Explorer, that would explain the paragraph problem.

If you're using Opera, turn off "check here to use HTML formatting" and check "Automatic Cr/Lf" at the bottom of the text box that you type your message into.

He's a newbie, but he's lurked around long enough to know who owns the site and to know that formatting can be an issue.
Welcome Temp. Are you on Internet Explorer? If you're using Firefox, formatting won't work (at least it won't for me) I use IE for JWD only and Firefox for everything else.
