Her immediate response was, "am I forgetting about Jehovah?"
What a backward comment. How about "Good for you!" ?
Try to remember she is a captive of the false concept that JW's
are God's true servants. She will be old one day, needing your care
or at least your visits. -

You must feel really good right now! You should. If you need homework help, call Scully or Narkissos, some of the really smart people here.

ButtLight, i'm so glad you're going! When I was attending college the first time I was so happy to see so many thirty and fortysomethings in my classes.

I went back to college at age 31 (against the advice of the elders) and it was much better than the first time. I was much more focused on studying, as opposed to drinking and chasing girls.
I'm glad for all of you who are still studying.
Hell, I'm 56 and I'm taking night classes in technical writing.

WAY TO GO!
Once on realizes that there is really life outside the b0rg, they want some of it. But that does not automatically mean they know what matters or how to go about it.
Some rush out to do everything they were ever denied, not realizing that just because your cult forbade it doesn't make it a great idea; But you seem to be of the other sort.
The other sort of cult-escapee takes a long hard look at the world they are entering, identifies success and defines it, then maps out the steps to get there.
Success is different for each of us, but common denominators tend to include knowledge, planning, self discipline, and betterment of one's self.
RF, I have a good feeling about you and your chances, as I do about the rest of you who replied to RF re: your own college experiences.
I am proud of all of you, each and every one.
My own daughter begins school this fall for piano technology, then on to a four-year for business.
That kid's a mover and a shaker.
