or at least in my dreams.

Have you ever had a dream so real that you had to call people or do a search to find out if it was a dream or not? Well, this happened to me. Last night I dreamt of it being all over the news and mainly on the net news. It was on CNN, CBS...and such. The creatures were about 3-4 feet and was green. In my dream they were able to communicate well enough. The news said that they were bringing information for our planet to save it. They were very advanced in technology and knew how to change things to help with the pollution, extinction and other problems that is killing our earth.

I haven't had dreams like this (seeming so real) that it was kinda cool. It's nice to wake up and try to decipher whether it was a dream or not. It was so real I had to search on CNN to make sure it was a dream or not.

I so hope I have another dream as real as this one was.

Sometimes I have memories of things and I can't tell if it was real or a dream. That really gets me wondering and I don't know how to tell if it was real. It usually involves visiting someplace. This only happened a few times.

I know what you mean...I normally don't read fiction books because I don't want my "information" coming from a false memory.

I had a dream yesterday morning about my wife and I touring a small town. We saw several little shops. Each one had a different type of Chihuahua. Cute. Anyway, we decided to get one so. Then I woke up.

Happens a lot to me where my memory of something isn't correct (e.g. I left something out of the fridge and it got spoiled, I got something good in the mail, etc.), and then when I check, I realize that it's not true and I only experienced it in a dream that I had forgotten. Then there are dreams I really wish were true and I am disappointed when I wake up because I realize the friendships I formed or the experiences I had were not real. When I was in elementary school, I dreamt once that I was best friends with Jodie Foster (who was a teen at the time I think). I woke up feeling happy I had such a good friend, and I almost half-believed it until I realized I never met her before. Same thing happened many years later with Jim McCarty, drummer for the Yardbirds. I had a similar dream and afterward I could have swore I had met him before but then I realized after thinking that I never did make his acquaintance. Funny how real dreams can sometimes get. My favorite dreams are the ones where mobsters are chasing me with machine guns, and I escape with only my wits. I think in those I kinda know I'm only dreaming (lucid dreaming), so I tend to have fun with them.

Last night I dreamt that I was guest teaching the last day of a course at the university, and I got there an hour late (thinking the class was at 9am when it really was at 8) and because it was the last day, I tried to get snacks and drinks for a little party, but I got lost in the building trying to find the room, ended up on the Bear Floor where there was a pet bear at the receptionist (and bear skins on the walls), and I asked her where the room was, but I woke up before I found the room. Yeah, I still have "college stress" dreams, only now instead of forgetting you had a course all year and now you have a final exam you forgot about, now I dream about forgetting to teach in a class I was supposed to....LOL, different side of the same coin.

BTW, last night I did some reading on the Bear Gryles fiasco, I guess that is where the bear motif came from....
