I would go Sass, but what do YOU want to do?
Should I go to non-JW cousins wedding?

Hi Sass
It's a hard one..............I guess it depends how close you feel to your cousin, it's their day.
What's your gut feeling?
Best wishes D
PS hope the snow's good for you, Mr Frass is giving it another go heh! We went the week before last, 130km winds, it was pretty rugged, I didn't go out much, read Harry Potter instead, but I had a nice relaxing time away from work!!
PPS Did you have your anniversary break at Uncle Bruce's yet?

JW family will be there - it will be awkward at best, and very stressful and depressing at worst
If you go, I doubt any JWs will be there. That's based on what I've observed here locally in Adelaide. The JWs are probably stressing at the moment trying to find out what you are doing.
Why would you pay money to put yourself in a stressful and depressing situation?
I would send them a gift in plenty of time before the wedding. Just the normal kind of gift that you would give to a cousin. You could explain to the cousins at some future time what the true situation is.
Just my thoughts.

Thanks all. I realised that to be honest, my main motivation is that it's the only chance I'll get to hurt my JW siblings, and it won't even work - they outnumber me. I know that this is an appalling reason to go to a wedding, but I'm surprised at how compelling it is. Fortunately the reasonable part of me overrides the small part that yearns for some kind of revenge. Clearly I have a long way to go before I can forgive them all. I'll have to get that looked at.
Hey dee, we did another day at Perisher on Sunday, and this weekend is the anniversary weekend, and we're going again on the way back on Monday! Mr Frass got himself a $26 pair of ex-rental skis, and when he finds some boots he'll be fully kitted up. We had this deal that if after five days on the snow he still despises it he never has to go back. By the end of the fourth he was hooked! I got me a snow bunny!!

The wedding sounds like it would be awkward not only for you, but you would be bringing it as a burden for your innocent (non-JW) cousins and family. It sounds like they are going to be overwhelmed in any case with people and their own circumstances with a new baby and all.
Send them a nice check and your best wishes and next time you visit grands, take them out for a lovely dinner and look at the pictures. More fun for everyone. And when they get the gift from you and pass it around or however you show off wedding gifts, you will have a 'presence' at the party which will have to be internalized by the JWs without adding any awkwardness to the innocents.
