Because JW's are afraid of many things. Since they are a cult, that most of the people attack for many reasons(blood issue, military service)they are trying to show that they are just like the rest of the people. I recall doing this my self, when I was in another town for work and near by they were some JW's doing street work, when a priest came along and argue with them, I pretend that I wasn't a JW, and talked with him...
The trap that JW's use is unity. Most of the people they know more about their favored football team, acteur, or a pop star, than their religion. JW's they when they speak to someone at the door(a catholic)they think that the person represents the catholic religion. So the person falls into the trap easily, when seeing the unity that JW's supposed they have.

I agree in some points with this. But the Orthodox Church is the one that gave the Biblical cannon, at the forth century. The New Testament was written in Greek, and the Gospel was preached in Greek language. The schisma of the early Church(Holy Catholic Apostolic Church, the actual name of the Orthodox Church) ended in the 10th century A.D(it started from the 6th)The basic reason was political games, that lead the West part (Rome)of the Romanian Church to separate from the East(Byzantine)
Then the basic problem for many heretic ideas that were introduced in the Roman Catholic Church was LANGUAGE. Greek is the most wealthy and beautiful language in the world. So when they started translated the Bible into Latin, in the translation proccess, some meanings changed. As a result it lead the Papal Church to adopt heretic ideas. The basic are:
1.Filioque. The Source of The Holy Spirit is the Father and the Son. When actually the only source is the Father.
2. Hell. A burning place for the sinners.
3. Pope is infallible
The rest is history. The protestand movement began, when they brake from the Papal Church, and now we had so many protestand dominations. Every one claims that they follow the Bible that is Gods Word, but they ignore one basic thing:
The Bible that they hold and they claim to follow, was given by the Greek Orthodox Church...It was written in Greek language, and the Early Church Fathers, that even the Papal Church accepts, set the Biblical Cannon, and the Christian Dogma. The basic idea that most of the Protestands hold is that the Church after the Apostles turn to apostasy. BUT THEY ACCEPT A BIBLE THAT WAS GIVEN TO THE WORLD BY APOSTATES!!! Doesn't make sense at all.
The Bible came FROM the Church. And is not the ONLY Book that show us Christianity. They are many other writtings, from Bishops of the Church, even from the early years that show us the structure of the Early Apostolic Church, and NOTHING has changed for the last 2000 years.
