If something good happens: Jehovah did it. If something bad happens: Satan did it.
Oh, but Jehovah is not performing miracles at this time...

It also makes me sick to see "some" pioneers, like sister some who attributes all good things to Jehovah, but does the saying when something bad happens that he only protects us spiritually. I got so tired of that b.s. that when she again attrributed our helping to Jehovah, I had to tell her no sister some it was us me and my wife who helped you Jehovah had nothing to do with it. Your are a good friend and we trust you and wanted to help you, but i for one am sick and tired of you attributing the good things we do for you to Jehovah. No its not him its us for crist sakes. Needless to say she was somewhat taken back, then smiled and said it was Jehovah who motivated us. Well that was it the next time she needed help I told her to pray to Jehovah because i sure as hell wasn't going to help and we didn't. She seemed surprised when no help was forthcoming. Live and Learn I told her.

As far as the fact that he ...'only protects people in a spiritual sense' - don't even talk to me about this! He'll supposedly see that some idiot gets money so he/she can go knocking on doors but yet he'll look the other way when somebody is suffering. I cannot accept this.
And don't get me started about pioneers who 'expect' things from people. I am also of the opinion that some misguided witnesses who can't pioneer give things to pioneers because they think they will be blessed in some way for this 'generous' action. While I can understand wanting to give if somebody is really poor and needy, I feel they are misguided for giving to pioneers. For one thing, they are feeding into people's laziness and wrong sense of entitlement. Remember, pioneers are deliberately putting themselves in the position of being needy. Yeah, maybe I should have quit my job and became a burden on the congregation as well!
If you can't support yourself in the pioneer work, get the hell off the pioneer list and get your ass out into the workforce and get a J-O-B !!!

my dad doesn't even remember a lot of the things he did during his tenure in the borg and as an elder.
but when i was about 10 years old, he bought a used vw, completely rebuilt the engine and gave it a new paint job and everything and gave it to a pioneer brother.
same pioneer brother who wouldn't talk to me at the last assembly i went to b/c he heard rumors i was inactive....nor did he even inquire of the health of my dad.
but, he's still pioneering and an elder. what a great example to the flock!

This is so incredibly annoying.....I hear it all the time from my pioneer mom, she absolutely believes this, every time she is hard up for money it is us apostates (all of my brothers and sisters) that help her out.....but it is Jehoover that gets the credit!!! Like someone else said, they use the excuse that "Jehoover moved that person to help them"...give me a freakin break!!! Sooooooo.......now whenever she want's to go on vacation we don't contribute for that....let Jehoover move some of the brothers at the Kingdom Hell to help her....we always help for necessary things, but luxuries....hell no, if she wants those, she should get a simple job helping the old people in her building, which she has already been offered but refused becauuuusssse........"it would interfere with her pioneering hours", the whole situation just aggravates the hell out of me!!!!

Have you ever sat at a convention or assembly and heard an experience from the platform about how some asswipe pioneer received a bundle of cash for their car repairs, "just in time to keep going in the pioneer service". Or some other form of material advantage, credited to God as the provider.
I used to hear this b.s. at the pentecostal church my parents took me to a couple years before I became a witness. I figured it was someone in the church (preacher or some suck up to the preacher) sending the money anonymously. The subject of the sermon was giving the tithe first to God, no matter how poor you were, and God would take care of you financially. Then they gave an example of someone in the church who applied that and got an anonymous envelope of cash in their mail box...just in time to pay an important bill.
I see this con-artist tactic is being used in the witness world, too.
