We had one in the UK. They are very good.

Some still have a small tank which enables it to provide instant / immediate hot water without any delay.

It's much better being able to have unlimited hot baths

john doe, that 600 dollars is for a top-end model. i forgot the brand, but, i know it's one of the better ones. the place missanna works gives incredible deals, and only carries high-end stuff.

simon, running out of hot water is my biggest concern. we're getting a huge whirlpool tub, and i don't want to run out half-way through filling it up.

seriously, thanks guys, i'm stupid with this stuff. engines and metal, i'm great, wood and construction, i'm really uneducated.

I'm concerned as well. You'll have the tub in by mid-October, I trust?

    Awesome!

I'll be glad to donate some labor to the efforts.

I've not seen a top end one for $600. That's low end price from what I've seen. Mid range is $800 to $1000, and top end is $1200 or more.

Of course, the Bosch Aqua stars are a little cheaper, but they don't have nearly as good features. The Paloma brand is more expensive, but they have the digital temperature control, and a really neat back flushing valves that makes the tank maintenance easy. They run right at $1000 for the 199,000 btu model, but also require a $200 vent kit.
