I got up at 2:45 and it was incredible! Of course, I'm taking an Astronomy class this term anyhow, so that just made it all the more interesting.

Did anyone get any pics? My camera is worthless for any type of astronomy photography.

I set the alarm to go off at 3:30am PST so I can see the eclipse. I tried to take pictures but they didn't come out too well because I only have my compact camera (my good camera is broken) and it has very clumsy focus and timed exposure control....without an infinity focus option, it was hard to get the camera to focus on the moon when it was giving such low light during the peak of the eclipse. I had better focus when it began to emerge from the shadow. Anyway, here is a series of photos:
