You are to be commended on how you stuck up for your wife and did not tolerate the idiots trying to intimidate her. Bully for you!
I have been saying this all along: when a woman in the religion is married her husband can put up his hands and tell people to "back off". When a woman is single, she has to fight her own battles and speak up, as I did. If she is stupid and does not speak up, or, if she acts subservient like a deluded mother theresa type, she ends up being abused and, sadly, she may end up with a breakdown. There is no 'reward' for her stupidity and gullibility. Nobody will care once she is no longer able or willing to be abused.
With these thankless idiots, you are only as good as the last favor you did. I have seen this first hand.

When my husband and I were engaged we were sternly counselled by one lone wolf to not ride together alone to the territory.
That morning, the group had met at our home--several cars, including my parents, caravanned to the territory three blocks away. We stared at this elder in disbelief from our REGULAR CAB NIssan pickup and I said, 'What, are we gonna have sex right here on the E brake between not-at-homes??!!?!'
He left us alone. They suck.

You have to have the holy spirt working on you for the shake method to work properly. Holy spirit has left you that is why you wound up in knots. It was the demons working against you..lol

At an assembly this unmarried MS came up to tell me that he could see down my dress when i bent over to get a drink of water. I told him that he should go tell my husband that he was looking down my dress, and let him decide what to do.
I noticed that this zealous brother, hung out a lot at the water fountains.

I used to get in trouble at Bethel for winding the cords that way. If you know how to do it it really is a handy way to tie the cord. But if you don't you are pretty much screwed.
