Some interesting ones here, the keeping two sexes apart drove me and megan nuts, mum was like 'right you cant be upstairs together or in this house together alone' and stepdad was like 'you have no reason to be upstairs alone together' so i argued it when i needed help carrying something down 'right well a maximum of 2 minutes'

I just remembered about the times we went dancing at Denim and Diamonds in Huntington Beach CA.

There was one bro ( we will call him Tom) there who used to hang out with my older brother before my brother was df'd. Well Tom thought it was his responsibility to act like my dad/brother. I was 23 at this point.

A bro I knew from Riverside came down to go dancing that sunday and so I danced with him. After I danced with him, Tom asked me why I was dancing with a worldly guy. I said I wasn't. He said I saw you, that guy had long hair. (he didn't) So I called him onit and said do you want me to introduce you to bro Daviis? then Tom backed down.

Another time at denim and diamonds, Tom told me that he had better not hear about being alone in the car with my boyfriend ever again. I told him I had a mom and I didn't need him telling me what to do. ( yes my boyfriend and I had driven over to a familys house to practice some dance moves) No we didn't have sex on the way over or on the way back home. But boy every one was paranoid about it.

Then once with my fiancee we went dancing. And we exchange a few kisses on the patio outside the club. Well Tom decided to knock on the glass window overlooking the patio to get us to stop. So we kissed some more.

Man Tom was annoying.

I found out years later that Tom had gotten in trouble as a teenager for breaking into a furniture store and stealing some cash. then he bragged to my brother about it. Tom was pretty naughty growing up according to my brother.

I remember there was a year when there were a lot of weddings back to back in the fall months. I went to at least 4 weddings in a two month period and there were several engagements announced. Ok, so it's a Saturday and we were at the meeting before going out in FS at an elder's home. He makes a comment about the weddings and the upcoming weddings. I mentioned how I hated the video cameras; at that time they weren't as discreet as they are now and I mentioned how I especially hated how the person taking the films would create such a scene with the cameras, so it was hard not to notice them and they seemed to disrupt the ceremony. I mentioned how at my own wedding, should there be one (ha!) I would not permit video recorders. The elder got soooooooooooooo defensive and said I had a bad attitude and blah blah blah Jehovah's arrangement and whatever else. I just had to ask "Jehovah's arrangement includes expensive video cameras? What about keeping your eye simple?" That pissed him off even more. Mind you, we were talking about a HYPOTHETICAL wedding. I was about 16 years old! There was no plan in place and yet he felt the need to tell me my business. I guess because he owned a camera? This elder was known for being a bit flashy with his possessions (cars, vacations, etc.)

WOW some stories 'ere that goes to show that they arent all one off, that they are actually an insight into the organization as a whole because a while there are Elders who are genuinely nice fella's and think they are doing the right choice, there are always the ones who want control, power and respect.

Oh I forgot about the pioneer sister who had 5 kids all from different fathers. She went to my garage sale my mom and I were having. She saw a white leather skirt I was selling she asked if I had anything to wear with it. So I showed her the while eyelet bustia top I had to go with it. She was very surprised and she rolled up the bustia (which ahd plastic bones in it) and hit me with it.

At least I knew who my babys daddy was.
