    Bah humbug!

But seriously...I think Christmas is way too materialistic. Haven't you ever seen A Charlie Brown Christmas?

I don't plan on ever celebrating it again. That's not to say I won't spend the holidays with my parents and have Christmas dinner with them, if they want. I just won't go for the obligated presents.

Editted to add: But I totally understand the viewpoint of someone who has been raised not celebrating any holidays. I celebrated 24 Christmasses before giving them up. Enjoy!

    Already started here too!
Got some ornaments at our special christmas store in June on vacation.
The kids and I have already put in christmas cd's on the way to school to listen to. Nothing like singing rudolph the red nose reindeer in 100 degree heat!
I already bought a stocking stuffer for our daughter.
Hubby is buying me a camera to start my photography business, he is rolling my birthday and christmas into one (and a few other things that got skipped or returned). That will be mine within a month! YEA! I can hardly wait!
The local hobby shop has tons of christmas decorations out already, and the kids and I have looked at them about 3 times already.
The kids are picking out their miniature christmas tree ornaments there and dreaming about which ones they will pick to put a tiny tree in each of their bedrooms.
I am looking for ornaments and at the small trees for an office tree for hubby.
I have a stocking to make and decorate. I LOVE CHRISTMAS!
I already bought the Paula Deen holiday magazine issue, so I can whip up a few new desserts and make us all a little more fluffy!
I painted my front bench red (the porch is green) and am looking for a few cute pillows for christmas to accent it!
Let's just say I am a bit obsessed! LOL

We have celebrated Xmas three years now. We started with a little artificial tree that we could hide in the hallway [fear of the Jdubs as I had not yet DA'd]. Now we have a 7 foot artificial. We have gotten fairly good at decorating it now - it was loaded pretty good last year. This year I am going to put outside lights up I think.

I am glad that I am not the only obsessed Xmas observer here. BTW - I love Christmas and Seasonal Gospel Music. It comprises the largest part of my music collection. In fact - with all the talk of it - I am going to put on some right now.........

There..... Gene Autry is now singing 'Rudolf the Red Nosed Reindeer'. I shall sip a glass of pre-lunch Gewurztraminer and enjoy. And it will be high 90's today as I enjoy.

Now Marty Robbins is singing Hark! The Herald Angels Sing.... sing along if you like.

I agree.............never too early to talk Christmas. The home shopping network shows have had Christmas stuff for about two weeks.

The only think I don't like is that it's Winter. I prefer warm weather. We rarely get snow, but that would be great at Christmas time, as long as my whole family can get to the celebrations without too much difficulty.

I have been thinking about gifts and setting aside the money for some time.

Mulan - I love your part of the country. If I lived out there in God's country, I would have to find a nice cabin in the Cascades and watch it snow during the season. So peaceful up there.

You know what started all this - my bright idea a couple years back to xchange cards with JWD members. My wall fills up each year now - and I love it. Mulan, yours is always there. Early Merry Christmas to you and yours.
