Oh you poor thong
I'm sorry Awake & Watching. I know this is a typo but I'm cracking up over here!!!
Sorry - I meant "thing", "poor thing" not "thong".
I had restless leg syndrome for a long time, didn't know what it was until they started advertising it on television and I asked my doctor about it. He prescribed gabapentin - I was amazed at the results - it reduced the symptoms about 85% and I get much better sleep without having to wake up and rub my legs. I am so grateful for it! I hope it continues to help you - I've been taking it about a year and it still works.
Fingers are crossed, Lady Lee.
Oh you poor thong.
LMAO...sorry, just struck my funny bone....
hugs to you Lee - finger and toes crossed here.
Just to clarify something - I don't wear thongs
The damage - only 1 casserole bowl and lid. I can't believe the glasses are all ok. Quite a few are very delicate.
The cost of the meds - here in Canada people on Disability don't pay for our meds as long as it is approved by them. Gabapentin is not on their approved list unless the person has epilepsy (what it is mainly used for) I had to apply for special request to have it covered. The Lyrica was almost $50 per month and it too wasn't approved so I paid for one month myself. The side effects were too much for me even at the lowest dose. I had to show that I had tried the other meds first before they would accept the gabapentin.
Right now the feet are doing OK - a tad warm but I need to keep the slippers on because of the glass - until I can be sure I have got it all.
Oh you poor thong.
Sorry to drag this out A&W - I haven't laughed so hard in ages - I have tears rolling down my face!!!
This is happy news! If I were nearby, I would come over and clean up the glass for you.
Wishing you steady recovery and peace of mind,
SandraC
LL,
I'm so glad you found something that wiped out much of your pain. Speaking from my recent experience (I have spondylitis), 3 months ago I had so much pain I could barely move. I got back onto the right therapy (once every few weeks at the rheumatology clinic) and it makes ALL THE DIFFERENCE. Life is so much better.
Does this mean you'll be able to put the wheelchair in storage? I hope so.
Fingers and toes crossed for you here Lady Lee.
Best of luck!
