    Good one, restrangled.

Here's another good one, yours reminded me of this one.

    mncan,

    You said:

: Yes, I play music, haven't played a specific instrument in a while, but I can read music and have taken some music theory.

What kind of crap is that? You play music but haven't played "a specific instrument in a while". What "specific" instrument do you actually play? And why cannot you say what it is?

    Sheeesh.

Farkel wonders about slippers and sliders. At least I put my music out there and faced the firestorm for doing so.

Black screen, but the music is excellent.

    hubert,

    : Gershwin's Rhapsody in Blue

I was lucky enough to hear George Gershwin conduct and play his OWN Rhapsody in Blue. No, I wasn't THERE! I'm not that old! I heard an old recording of it. Let me say this: it was far faster and far jazzier than any other version I've heard since.

I like almost everything that you all have listed, except Gershwin's Rhapsody in Blue which is incredibly boring. So is American in Paris. I like Mozart, I like cello music, I like things like "O Sacred Head Now Wounded" and "The Swan." I've got to bookmark this page so I can listen to ALL the links. One of my problems is that in 25 years as a massage therapist I have listened to a very wide variety of classical music while working, but I never learn the names of anything, so when people ask me what I'm listening to I look like an idiot because I don't know.

Put the thread link in your "favorites", Grace.

I'm on a roll tonight, but pretty soon "the well will run dry".

restrangled: for some reason your link didn’t work but found this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HMR6hxOGQ4w

hubert: my eye is great. I can see clearly now! I really like Gershwin's Rhapsody in Blue but have to deny liking Pachelbell. Sorry. But hey, we both like Dvorak!

    MsMcDucket: Here’s another version: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mOeuar5LmtU

Hortensia: If you like cello music I’m sure you will like this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mL_kU47IYvY

Not sure if it was this concert but a while back I saw Yo-Yo Ma play this on tv and it gave me goose bumps. He was so into it.

Grace this is for you. I think you will like this version. My version is nicer but couldn't find it: Albinoni, Adagio: http://www.youtube.com/watchv=XMbvcp480Y4&feature=related

Almost forgot: Grace you could always right click on this thread with mouse and create shortcut to your desktop. That way you always have it handy.

Many, many years ago I heard PDQ Bach playing Bach. It was hilarious. This is all I could find. There are some funny moments in it but nothing like the version I heard. I'm sure it's not easy what they are doing, but then I wouldn't know.
