"Loyally Submitting to Theocratic Order"
"Kiss the Son lest God be angry, and you perish in the way!"
"Happy are all they that put their trust in God today!"
Oh brother! More like "put their FEAR in God" today!
It sounds so ABUSIVE! KISS MY SON OR DIE!
It feels so good today to be free not to have to say and promote ideas I dont believe
What a prison it all was!!!!
Anewme
" I WANT TO! "
Um, not really.
My 16-year-old daughter, who has not been to a meeting in over 5 years, quickly responded, "#113 "We're Jehovah's Witnesses" when I asked this question to the family.
That one tops my list, "Ours is the God of True Prophecy" YEAH RIGHT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This will make it all better:
WE'RE JEHOVAH'S WITNESSES (really loud). We serve God in fearlessness (or something like that).
"Ours is the God of True Prophecy"
Yeah, this is the one that when we came to "Prophecyyyyyyyyyyy", most everyone cut out because that note was pretty high. So you could only hear the loud competitive women singing that note. You all had those type in your hall, I'm sure. There were always 2-3 women who thought that singing the KingDumb songs was their opera solo time. They'd compete with each other so that only they could be heard over everyone else.
We even had one woman in our hall who would hold out any long note one to two beats longer than everyone else just so she had a few miliseconds of singing solo. It was very obvious and obnoxious.
Loyal Submission in recognition, this to our god we owe, he gives protection, tender affection, loyalty to him we show..
More words from song #8: "Theocratic order they must all obey and remain united, loyalty display." "Then we have God's 'steward' and his active force, These will ever guide us in our Christian course."
Actually I used to like the kingdom songs. I didn't sing them much as I was the piano player. I found it fun to embellish them, and I would get lots of compliments. It's strange now that I find most of them disgusting. I see now how they are designed to program us into blind obedience to the cult.
all of them
I found some songs on YouTube and even found the lyrics at one site. The songs are very different from the ones we sing in church. Are all the songs numbered? What you can't find on YouTube.
