    Definitely not.

There was never a dedication. I had no idea what I was doing at 12 years old.

Not any more. After I found out the questions were changed. After I found out that the society was covering up petafiles. The way I was treated. It just is a big heartless Corporation in New York. It is even worse. I have quit working for some corporations and you just give them your 2 week notice and go on with your life. But this corporation hounds you and gives you a guilt trip. It has ruined thousands of lives. Sorry just venting. GH

I only recognize that I was coerced into "Dedicating my Life to Jehovah" by my closest family at the tender age of 11 yrs and 10 mos.

As an adult, I recognize that at the age of my baptism I could not legally be held to my signature to buy a subscription to the Topps bubblegum baseball card series. And the bb cards would be worth more today.

Wow, it's a privilege to associate with these many wise people through this website.

OnTheWayOut, I copied your undedication ceremony to a word doc, your words are worth reading over again, I like. My husband and I delivered our Letter of Disassociation and Dununciation just last night, physically and via email, and we both feel 'unbaptized' now. Sweet.

I was 18, and I did it because everyone had expected me to have got baptized when I was much younger, being the youngest child of pioneers and an elder. The pressure was extraordinary, the questions unrelenting and invasive. My parents told me I wouldn't have to get a job if I were to pioneer and live at home eternally, what 18 year old taught this lazy mentality would want to work when hangin out and wasting precious time and resources was so easy?

So I got baptized, and all I could say was, "Did you see the dove?!"

I was 14 when I got dunked, wtf is that about? What other life decisions do you make at 14? You can't drink, buy cigs, drive, have sex (legally), get married or vote but the society feel its ok for a child to make a life altering decision? K-RAZY.

All I was thinking about was the pressies I would get and being centre of attention for a while. That quickly wore off. Now, I don't even remember the date.

    Absolutely NOT!

I was nagged into it and threatened by my mother!

She said: 'What will the brothers think at the KH that you're 16 and still not baptised!? Oh my God! What will they think?!'

What would they think now if they knew exactly what I was doing about the Watchtower problem? Mu hah hah!!!!

Sorry folks! Top secret! If I told you, I would have to kill you!
